This dimmer is a simple solution is designed to match existing design style switches and accessories. Easily turn the lights on and off with a paddle switch, and use the slide control to adjust the lights to the perfect level. The new Diva 0 to 10-Volt dimmer is a 0-10 VDC dimmer with 3-way functionality for 3rd party 0 to 10-Volt fixtures (LED and fluorescent), no separate power pack required. Coordinating wall plate sold separately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Line voltage switch with dim control For wall controls for low voltage 24Vdc LED lights with dimming, a typical installation would be a Lutron DVTV switch paired with a Lutron PP-120H Power Pack. This worked fine for new installations, but difficult for remodels. The Lutron Diva DVSTV takes the 120Vac components and incorporated them right into the housing. Of course the cost is much higher than a DVTV switch, but both the line voltage control of a dedicated outlet, and the 0-10Vdc dimming control signal of an external dimming module, are housing in the single box. Worth it for retrofits or remodels involving LED lights with dim control.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I’d only recommend this product if you knew what you’re getting. The LED shoplight array l bought... I’d only recommend this product if you knew what you’re getting. The LED shoplight array l bought from Home Depot claimed to be dimmable. However I find that normal LED dimmers are not recommended for this type lighting. You need a 0 - 10 V dimmer which costs about $70. Not only that, you need to run additional control wires from the dimmer switch to the LED array to get the light to dim. Try doing that when your walls are insulated and you don’t want to run the wires outside the walls. I wouldn’t recommend this combo at all unless you’re doing new construction AND know what you’re getting into. You should warn people buying these type of lights that it requires a more expensive dimmer and additional wiring. It’s now been installed about 2 mos. and seems to function fine.

You cannot just install in place of a regular on and off switch and expect it to dim LEDS as you would with regular bulbs. Note the extra wiring on the switch unit itself. Backyard Rep

It is a little pricy, controlled installed LED panel lights very smoothly and allowed me to set the level of light where I wanted it when switching on without having to adjust a slider every time. Make sure your electrical box has adequate room as the extra wiring requires some additional space.

It does take all the space in a 1-gang box so use small wire nuts and cut off excess wire. In a 2 gang arrangement you will need to remove one side of Cooling flanges - not a problem for a lightly loaded circuit.
