Very satisfied with our finished home project.

Should the fan control click when adjust speed

We just installed this switch. Everything works fine except when we press the buttons to change the fan speed, it makes a clicking noise. The light control does not make this sound.

Do these switched work with Hunter fans.

Do these switched work with Hunter fans.
Asked by: Alpha
As long as your Hunter fan, has pull chains for the fan and light, and is not remote controllable, the MACL-LFQH-WH, will work fine.

Are these switches able to be used with Hunter fans that are controlled by a remote?

Asked by: Donovan
If you have a remote controlled ceiling fan, the only device you can use is a standard switch to send power to the fan receiver.

Can this be used for bath vent fan/light combo?

Asked by: Nik
I would not use this type of device on a bath vent and light. The exhaust fan is not meant to have different speeds. There is a different type of switch for the application you are trying do. Its probably less expensive also.

Will this work in a rest room for my sconces that i want dimable and my fan in cealing

I have the two sliders right now and the light dims fine and the fan works fine when i slide the slider for fan it slows it down a makes it not as loud when all the way on which is cool im just wondering if it will do the same with this one
Asked by: Robert
If it is a ceiling fan, it should work just fine. If it is an exhaust fan, it might not work so well. I'm not sure your existing exhaust fan is meant to run at different speeds.

I'm buying a fan without a light. Can I wire 4 high hats to the light dimmer instead?

Asked by: Scott
Yes, as long as you use compatible bulbs and do not exceed the wattage limits. You will have to be careful in identifying the hot wire as well as the neutral for the fan and neutral for the lights. Hopefully, you currently have the switches for both at the same location.

Need directional switch for Hampton bay fan

Need directional switch for Hampton bay fan
Asked by: Peggy
it can't be done without a factory remote control. The direction of the fan is determined internally with the fan wiring and controlled by the little slide switch on the side of the fan only.

How do i wire it to just black and white wires coming from the box?

Asked by: Michael
Black and white (power) in the switch box connect to the switch feed/line. 3 wires (black - white - red) are needed to go to the fan box from the switch box. The fan feed (black) from the switch and the light feed (red) from the switch are two separate circuits. White feed from the switch is the neutral as usual..
