Rated 1 out of 5 by from GARBAGE I bought this to fit my 2" door. To begin with I had to cut it to length to fit my door (33") Well it was near impossible to cut with the hacksaw because it was binding continually on the bottom part of the trim where the trim is actually 2 pieces of plastic slotted together. Even though the instructions said to use a hacksaw to cut it to size. Then when I went to install it on the bottom of my door and the 2 pieces of plastic kept separating. The 2 pieces just would not stay together while I tried to close my door. And since I had already cut this trim to fit the bottom length of my door, I couldn't return it to the store. So with tax I'm out about $25. Do yourself a favor and buy a piece of trim that is the exact width of your door bottom and keep away from this 2 piece adjustable width stuff because it is no good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Work at All I'm not sure how this product can even be sold considering it doesn't seem to work at all. Bought it for a 2" thick door. Trimmed it to length and placed it under the door, only to find that because it is 2 pieces, the sweep comes apart every time the door is opened or closed. The part meant to be on the outside of the door slides out from in between the two clamps on the pieces screwed to the inside of the door. I had to take it off and reinstall my old sweep until I can replace this one with something that actually works. Don't buy this.

Step 4: Go to Home Depot website to write a review and learn that others rated this at 1-star for the same reason If you haven't purchased this, but are reading this review, congratulations! you didn't make the same mistake I did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product that does not fit Terrible Product. Wish I would have read the 1 star reviews before I bought. My door is 36" so wasn't expecting to have to cut it. It was too wide so needed cutting. After cutting it and installing it, we realized that because of the overlapping expandable design, the bottom of the door is now thicker, and the door will not close properly. I cannot return it because I had to cut it which was ridiculous as well. This should be pulled off the market. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Adjustable size means the two pieces do not stay together, and comes apart when you close the door, also sags at bottom therefore making it difficult to shut the door in the first place. Saved by Home Depot return policy and got our money back. Got another similar product that is not adjustable and hoping it fits the width of door that is slightly thicker, for which I had gotten the "adjustable" feature in the first place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bottom for the imperfect condition I am not a big fan of the adjustable design as adjustable often is not the perfect solution. But your door might not in perfect condition too. Mine has weather damage at the corner which pops out the old bottom. It's not flat after cleanup. The adjustable design simply works for this case without additional preparation. The bottom can be separated fairly easily. It will be pushed onto the door once the door is closed. I would suggest using some silicone to seal the bottom for better weatherproof. (I constantly have snow melting under the door in Winnipeg winter.) Overall, a good solution for the imperfect condition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Waste Your Money Unfortunately this product did not last a week. It cuts fine with a mitre saw slowly, however the issue is the fact that it is adjustable. It is difficult to keep the two pieces together or in the proper width you would like and in addition you lose a little bit of space since the plastic parts overlap. This makes it too tight of a seal and therefore causes the plastic strips to break off so not an effective seal and would not recommend at all.
