I need it for indoor doors. How good is it at restricting sound? (wood floor, no carpets)

I am sure that it would help restrict the sound somewhat.  It worked great for my applications which was to keep cold air and cigarette smell out of our apartment.

Can this be installed on the exterior of the door or is it only meant for the interior as shown in the installation video.

Hello Home Depot Canada Customer, This product can be installed on either side at the bottom of the door. Where you place it, exterior or interior, depends on whether your door swings in an inward or outward direction.

Is it easy to cut to smaller size?

Dear Home Depot Canada customer, Yes, this product is very easy to cut to size. Simply use a hand saw that is capable of cutting non-ferrous metals. This will ensure that the saw can cut through the aluminum component.
