Can I use this instead of caulking at the bottom of a basement outdoor window joining the pvc frame and foundation plaster might squish a couple of cords together. The window is recessed. It will be temporary of course. Can it withstand the winter?

Can this be used for a condo unit door that has a gap which allows air to whistle.The gap is on the edge where the door locks. It can’t be nore than about 1/8” thick

However, our backer rod product is specifically made to be installed with caulking, so you may want to consider it as well (see link below).
