The M-D Vinyl U-Shape Screw-on Under Door Seal features vinyl fins for protection from drafts, moisture, dust and insects. Save on energy by sealing the bottom of the door and keeping the heat or air conditioning from escaping. Screw holes are oval shape to allow for easy adjustment to fully seal the gap at the bottom of the door. All of the hardware needed to install is included. Before installation, cut to desired length using a hacksaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine! Easy to install Replaced my worn out door sweep. The screw holes lined up perfect. It was about 1/2” too long which was perfect because I trimmed it exactly to be a tight fit. Unfortunately the cut with my hacksaw was a bit ugly and jagged so I suggest thinking about a nicer way to cut if possible. Pro tip: use a candle or wax paper to rub wax on the inside of the sweep and over the door. It will make it easy to slide on. Otherwise it was almost impossible. Also, before screwing it in, lift the outer flap from the outside to check that you have a tight seal to your threshold. Otherwise lower the sweep until you do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It worked When cut to the proper length and mounted at the right height above the door base, this stopped the draft coming into my home. Tip: install on a bright day, since bright light makes it much easier to check for gaps. Prior to buying this, I tried the version with felt bristles (made by the same company, they're side-by-side in the store aisle). I feel the vinyl does a MUCH better job at keeping air out. Would not recommend the felt version, get the vinyl one with the "D"-shaped compression strips instead.

Will try to return but i had trimmed it to fit my door only to find out its crap

I accidentally threw out the installation instructions. Does the larger side (edge) of the door sweep go on the inside or the outside of the home?

Dear Home Depot Canada customer, the side of the door bottom with the screw holes gets installed on the inside of the door. The elongated fin is a rain guard,so that should be on the outside of the door. If you scroll through the product photos on the Home Depot website, you will also find video instructions for the installation.

will this fit a 2" thick door and is the thickness adjustable or fixed thickness?

Imperial measurements are not precise, sadly. My door measures 1 3/4 inches, I don't know if they call it a 2 inch? It will not fit if the door is a real 2 inch thick. It is fixed therefore not adjustable.
