Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete Garbage I bought this to transition between a tile and vinyl floor. The only good thing about it is that the glue actually stuck to the sub floor. The rest is trash. Went into the groove just fine. And popped out multiple times the second it was touched. And yes, I had it in right. So I figured maybe it was because the track was too low. Added some underlay under the track to see if that rectified the issue. Nope. Save your money and stick to screw down transitions, this stuff is garbage and a huge waste of time and money. Absolutely WOULD NOT recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product that won't damage the floors I installed this to transition between a ¼” triple layer of vinyl and a hardwood floor so a fair difference in height and I found it to be a fantastic solution that won't require drilling into or damaging either one of the floors. However, one thing I did differently was that after I cut the two pieces (at the same time so they're exactly the same length) to fit the door opening, I installed the Reducer into the SnapTrack BEFORE removing the protective film and sticking it to the floor. It's quite challenging to snap the two pieces together as they’re stiff and you have to be able to see what you're doing and also to gradually work the two pieces together sometimes using a flat head screwdriver to help work it in. If you stick the SnapTrack to the floor first and then try to snap the Reducer on, it's going to be very hard to get it on properly (although it may look like it is) and it's probably going to fall off or be loose because when it's put on properly, it's very, very tight and isn't going to separate. Once you've finished pushing the pieces together, go back and press along the whole length firmly with thumb and forefinger and you may hear the occasional "snap" which is just the two pieces coming together properly (although after it’s on, if you step on it, it will do the same thing so no need to be alarmed that it’s breaking). I then removed the film and without touching the floor, pushed the track up against the taller vinyl and then pressed it down onto the floor and it was placed perfectly. I put some weight on it for an hour and done. Very easy, firmly in place and it also looks great, not cheap like some of the transition strips so it was exactly what I wanted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both Reducers Don't Stay In Place I bought two pieces of this reducer. For the laundry room transition, the joint gap is too deep so the snaptrack hold the reducer well ... It's all loose and wobbly. So, this thing will work properly only if the height is perfect! I tried fitting the second piece for my bathroom but the snaptrack is slightly too wide for the gap and so the only to later glue or screw the reducer to the concrete floor. So, my advice is to make sure the pieces fit the width and height of the transition gap PERFECTLY before considering this product.
