Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Had this tub installed when I renovated my bathroom. It is less than three weeks that it has been installed and the tub has lost all its shine. I am so very disappointed. It looks like my old tub that I had before that was 20 years old. I wish I had invested more money, and research, ie., reading reviews, before buying this tub. I am going to contact MAAX as well. Absolutely would not recommend this low end brand. Spend the money for a better quality tub!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Tub to tile around I bought this tub in the summer. I had a professional tiler install subway tile around it. The tub flexes every time I get in the tub, causing the tub to pull away from the grout, leaving gaps. Now starting to crumble. Hoping to spray under and around it when I gut the other bathroom adjacent to the tub...in hopes of stabilizing it. Very disatisfied. I recommend not to buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for retrofit alcove bathroom The ledge on the drain end is too narrow to accommodate the overflow elbow for an alcove retrofit. The instructions dont show it, but you would need to cut the drain end support 1x3 to make it fit and then it is almost impossible to get into a 5 x 8 bathroom. It would be OK for new construction, but horrible for a retrofit with that stupid short ledge. Also, the leveling options are very sketchy. I returned it after fighting with it for 4 hours.

What are the pros & cons of an acrylic vs fiberglass bathtub?

    Asked by: OldIan
Hello OldIan, We thank you for your interest towards our products. Both materials are very sturdy, acrylic will last longer than fiberglass and has a longer period of warranty compared to a fiberglass unit, acrylic's finish is much more glossy than fiberglass, both products clean very well and last many years if cleaned regularly, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us at 1-877-438-6229 OPT 2 OPT 2.

Which is the correct installation instructions.  The link on this page, or the link on the manufacturer's site at https://maax.com/en/products/innovations/utile-installation  -- the instructions seem quite different!

    Asked by: hc01
Hello Hc01, We thank you for your interest towards our products. However, the unit you are looking at on Home Depot is an Avenue Bathtub and the link provided is for the installation of a Utile tub surround, which are both completely different products which will have different installation procedures. What wall surround will go with this tub?

    Asked by: Donna S
Hello Donna, there are several MAAX models sold at the Home Depot. They come in 59" and 80" tall . Typically for a bath installation you would use the 59". One of my favorites is the Alaska model. Regards,
