Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, no lifting hinges though Good quality shower door - the pieces and trim are well made, with attention to detail in the finish. Hinges glide very smoothly. Instructions clear and easy to follow. All you need is a screwdriver with a tile bit, silicone caulk, and a marker. One thing to note: these hinges are NOT self-lifting, and it appears that you can no longer order lifting hinges from MAAX. Also, while the door opens 180° to the outside, it only opens ~15° to the inside, meaning you can't push the door into the shower spray to step inside the tub.

Hi , can this shower door be on a fibreglass tub unit ?

Yes - you can install this on a fiberglass tub unit as long as the walls are tall enough so that none of the glass or hardware sticks up above the walls when the unit is installed. In other words, when you measure from the top of your tub sill to the top of the unit where your walls end, your walls must be at least 58" tall. You will also most likely have to file the wall jamb a little to round off the corner because there will probably be a radius where your tub wall meets the tub curb. There will be an instruction for this in the installation manual in the first step where the installation of the wall jamb is detailed. The glass is only 42” long. That covers 3/4 of the tub. Which is enough not to splash water when taking a shower.

My bathtub is enclosed and is slightly rounded on the bottom corners. Can this work? It also has a half inch lip along the outer edge of the tub where the bottom of the door would sit. Will the door swing clear that? Thanks

This 3/4 shower door looks sleek. The room has one window 34 x 37. The tub sits right against the same outside wall. This door is almost "invisible" which will allow the maximum light in. My concern is the shower water splashing outside unto the floo

Does the 18" section fold right back onto the 24" section to fully open the door? Are the hinges 180 deg opening or only 90 degrees?
