Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Feelings Know the true dimensions! I tied to fit a 34” shower down through a 32” basement stair door. It did work however I needed to remove the door jambs. Second, it is a 48” shower however the actual inside opening is about 41”. The DIMS on the website don’t tell you this as I ordered a glass shower door for a 48” shower opening only to find I now have to return it and order the appropriate one. Last issue currently, some of the acrylic is cracked on the shower only noticing this once the protective film was pulled off after install. MAAX might be sending out a technician but waiting to hear back.

Would be a very easy install during new construction, a bit of a challenge to install in a reno, especially on a second floor. (think 2 flights of stairs) An installation guide would have been appreciated, but was available online. Now that it is installed, am happy with purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard Install - Basement Concrete Floor Well constructed Shower, our install was in the basement on a concrete floor, the shower drain supplied is for a floor that is accessible from the bottom, you NEED to purchase a fitting that is either friction fit, or a fitting that screws and seals from the top and “TIP” don’t forget the plumbers putty under the top ring between the fitting and shower. the installation instructions are crap, only deals with a shower installed on a longer wall but not between two walls. Most bathrooms are only 60” wide!

However, we also bought the Halo Big Roller 48-inch Frameless Sliding Shower Doors because we were told it fits this shower. Well, it does so they didn't lie. BUT BE WARNED that the opening is only 14" wide. So, if you're a larger person, it's a very tight squeeze.

Does this model get attached to the studs on the wall?  Or does it get glued to drywall? And what door for this model Would you recommend!

No, this is constructed of very sturdy fiberglass and it will need to be fastened to the wall with screws. Per the installation instructions, you will need to fasten a 2x4 plate to the studs around the perimeter of the shower space first. Then you can slide the shower into place and have something to fasten it to with screws.

What are compatible shower doors to fit this model? There is no suggested compatible doors for this product. What is the compatible hardware? (Shower faucet, Shower on and off)

What is the height of the base piece and can it be maneuvered through a 27" wide doorway?

The base piece is 21" tall. Itll be easy to get through the door. The top piece is 57" tall. I got mine through a 29" door way. It was pretty tight, I had to take the door off.

Hi...I have a window in my bathroom...can this area be cut out of this shower stall?

I am sure it could be possible depending on size (small) of the window and location on the shower wall. It would work best from approx mid towards the right of the main shower wall.

Do you have to use the hood/roof part of this unit or can it be installed with just the walls, open to bathroom ceiling?

I feel the hood / roof part add to the structural integrity of the unit etc. We also installed a pot light on the hood which really finished things off. Hope this helps

What are the doors for this unit in the Home Depot picture. Camelia 3 Piece Acrylic Shower Stall

For shower door, I used plastic curtains. One transparent inner, decorative outer curtain. Curtains are mounted on an adjustable aluminum rod with soft mount pads for good grip. No water drips on the floor ever. No glass door, so do not have to clean constantly.
