Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings on these doors I love these doors but we overlooked the fact that only one side slides and the other is fixed. For some people this may not be an issue but out toilet is right beside the tub. So we have to get in the tub in turn on the shower. These doors will probably be replaced in a couple years sadly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and design I replaced a normal curtain with this modern sliding window. It's of good quality and makes the bathroom look more modern and gives a better finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How can you sell a product without instruction? I bought this door couple of days ago. After waiting for 1 hour to get the product I wanted due to the fact that the door was placed in a higher shelf. The salesperson ignored my ask for half hour until someone licensed to use the lifting cart came by to help me taking the door from the higher shelf. Once it finally happened the lift cart had no battery. Finally I got the product (open box). Arriving home the instruction is useless and after 4 hours installing I found out that the holes had to be placed few inches from where I made the holes. Instructions are useless and you have to get it wrong to then find the solution. Really painful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product but instructions could be better Installed this door over 2 days (to allow time for some of the silicone caulk to cure, as it holds things in place). The instructions were like trying to read the Dead Sea Scrolls, covering installation of 3 different models - all jumbled together. Useful tips: Center the door guide (part no. 4) on the lip of the tub and then use its position to figure out where the fixed panel will be mounted to the wall. Also , steps 5 and 6 should be reversed, since it will be nearly impossible to drill the holes required in step 6 after the fixed panel has been installed in step 5. The installed door works great and looks very classy. If only the manufacturer could make installation easier by providing instructions specifically for the tub model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality product but hideous instructions Love the quality but you may as well not look at the instructions. ...they are more confusing than informative. You will need above average skills to properly install this product. It took me 6 hours because I followed the instructions. .would have taken less if I just did it without. Very disappointed that for such an expensive door they used generalized instructions which apply to over the tub..or no tub..or angled..instead of separate instructions for each. Otherwise very nice quality and look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value and quality- instructions are mediocre Looks good, the hardware moves very smoothly and overall decent quality for the price. However some issues with missing steps in the instructions. Also the instructions are for all models which at times can be confusing. Go to the manufactures websites for additional instructions. I would suggest you'd need to be above average for mechanical and handy-man knowledge.

Step 6D in manual seems to say holes have to be drilled into a stud, but prior steps have position of glass based on measuring from edge of the bathtub, so chances are very small that a stud will happen to be there.  Pls clarify if stud required or not?

    Asked by: Laurie
Good day and thank you for contacting MAAX. Since this is a very heavy door, yes it is recommended that the wall jambs and header be drilled into studs. If you do not have studs, you can use toggle bolts. This will be sufficient in order for the door assembly to be secured. Please feel free to call us if you have additional questions at 1-877-438-6229. Thank you and have a great day!

Do I need to drill two holes on the bathtub to fix the glass door for installation?

    Asked by: Edwardwang
No. The door guide and the glass fixed panel are secured to the bathtub with clear silicone caulk only. The only holes that need to drilled are on the walls (12 in total).
