Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking shower door This shower door looks amazing, and was easy to install. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. Because the glass is thicker than other shower doors I’ve installed, they are a bit heavier, so it is best to have an extra person to help with lifting the doors in place. The best part is the soft door close, which ensures the doors close snugly up to the frame, and therefore are tolerant of DIY installations that that may not be perfectly plumb square. The only thing that I wish this door had was two bar/handles for the doors, instead of just one and a knob.

The gasket for the hangers for the doors came too thick and was imposible to fit. I used three hours to reduce the thickness of the transparent gaskets to fit. Rated 1 out of 5 by from design is dumb Pretty but dumb. The handle to open the door is only on one side. The only way to configure this is to use the handle to open from the inside and the towel rack to open from the outside (or vice versa) and enter and exit thru different sides. Unless there is something I'm missing. Also my towel rack is 24" on centre but the holes in the door are 18" on centre. I am hoping that Home Depot sends me a new towel rack that will fir the door. This is problem is after they delivered a granite counter top that was smashed.

Purchased 2 months ago, the instructions where easy to follow if you took your time, rechecking the shower dimensions and set the door height properly. It takes 2 people to hang the heavy glass doors. I used a suction grab bar for seniors to help steady the upward lift.

However, the installation was completed with few hectic hours due to poor product quality control. Four screws didn't fit well in to two soft close triggers and the third trigger did not have holes to be screwed in. I spent some time to figure out how to tap holes specially with #6 tap.

I don't think so. The base comes with 59" wide so you would have a gap of 1" top to bottom. Well, first make sure your measurement is correct (60"). Cause if actually get something in between 59 and 60 it may fit. If not, you will probably need a custom fit shower.

When it is fully installed what does the base "rail" look like? In the store the small model base rail looks quite different from the base rail shown in one of the videos. A photograph with a ruler would be particularly helpful. Thank you.

The bottom rail is L-shaped and there will be a small guide block that attaches to the bottom rail to keep the doors on track. A parts diagram and a good illustration of this component can be found in the installation manual which is linked on our website (MAAX.ca). I have a all in one molded shower/tub with a curved top. The current shower door is 55.25" wide and 56" high with a frame all around. I can go to 58" high before the curved part. Is the door reversible? Will this shower door fit?

Dear PeeWee, The Noble door is 57'' total height, if you have 58'' then it should be fine, but width wise they fit a maximum opening of 59'' and you having a 55.25'' it will make your entry a bit smaller to get in, Thank You!

Bottom rail is much wider than our previous rail and doesn't sit flat on the tub. The outer edge sits flush but the inside edge on the tub side has 1/4" gap between the rail and tub. How do I remedy this? That would take a lot of extra silicone to fill.
