Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Install, Good Design I would recommend this product. The matte black finish is stylish and cleans well. The box is heavy but contents are packed well and I was able to transport to the site in my 5.5 foot box. Almost all packaging is recyclable. Installation went well. I have installed several of MAAX glass sliding doors and the instructions can be frustrating if you are installing the door in opposing direction to what is illustrated in the instructions, otherwise the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Take your time, unpack and identify each part before beginning. It was hard to find a sliding glass door system for the custom shower we constructed in the basement. This product suited the space perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again Spend the extra money and get a taller door. Wish I had actually noticed how short it feels getting in. If you are 6 ft you would definetly have to duck (kicking myself big time for ordering this height). Worst instructions, if you follow them you will not have it mounted properly. Had to re drill holes in the tile because of how it says to measure for holes for the top of the frame. The door feels good quality is the only reason I will give it three stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Look at the drawing first! Ordered this shower door going by the measurements on the Home Depot website. Turns out that the guide wheel at the top is not included in the measurements. Look at all of the specs on the drawing before you order this. Otherwise, the door looked great, and arrived in perfect condition, with quick shipping. Too bad I had to return it.

Numerous errors in guide and parts This door is a 5 star door both in appearance and operation, but it lost 2 stars due to lack of QA both in parts sent and the installation manual that has several errors: 1. Our shower cubicle is within the width limitations for this door at 58" 3/16. In step #4 the instructions require cutting the support bar to a calculated length. According to this calculation, the bar would have been too long to fit in our shower cubicle and the bar was already shorter than this calculated length. No cutting was neccasery. 2. In step #7 the threshold was also supposed to be cut to a calculated length, again the bar seemed to have been pre-cut at the factory so it wasn't necessary to cut it down as it was shorter than the calculated length. 3. In step 9B, it directed to push the bottom on the guide to engage the door. They meant to write button but also this was supposed to engage in the bottom sealing gasket which is only installed later in step 13A 4. In steps 11 A & B, the wall channel and the magnetic jamb couldn't be placed under the wall bracket against the wall as they were too long, I had to cut these down by about ½" in order for them to fit under the wall bracket of the support bar. The door is a good product but definitely, this product needs QA both in the installation manual and the parts shipped, as currently, it makes the installation process confusing and frustrating.

I have a molded all in one shower/tub with a curved top. The current shower door is 55.25" wide and 56" high with a frame all around. I can go to 58" high before the curved part. Will this shower door fit?

I have a shower with a width of 42 3/8". Would I be able to still use this door/

Trimming the rail down below the minimum width tolerance will make your walk-in entry smaller and you will have more overlap between the 2 pieces of glass in the center, which is why we typically do not recommend doing this. My shower opening is 55” on the nose. The instructions say 55 1/4” minimum. Will these doors work in my 55” opening?

Technically, you could trim the top bar the extra 1/4" to fit your 55" opening, but please understand that this will reduce your walk-in entry and increase the overlap between the glass panels a little. Can I use this for a curbless shower?

Dear Simon, showers without a curb/threshold can leak at the bottom since there is not curb, water hits the bottom where the door panel is and can splash upwards and leak, Maax even has a base for this shower door that has a curb with a height of 3'', so we can't recommend this to be installed on a curbless shower, Thank you!
