Rated 3 out of 5 by from just installed Not rating 5 because of tricky install. Ive done a few doors before and am fairly handy. Installed this unit on 48 " Maax base with fibreglass walls. Took about 5 hrs going slow. Suggest you dont tackle this install if you are new to reno's. 100 + pieces, instructions are clear but pics are poor, cant tell a 1" item from a 5 ft item! Also tricky if your walls are not perfectly square. I think it would fit a 43" opening altho it says 44. Have to drill lots of holes in your shower walls, anchor arm needs a stud behind but is very adjustable. Just make sure you have a stud around 10 - 16" inside the solid wall side otherwise you'll be using the weak drywall plugs. Looks nice installed and is very solid on maax 48 x 34 base with walls.

I put this up for a friend and I don't think I would put up another one. The swinging door is a poor design. It is so heavy, I can't see this unit staying where it should be. The door sweep is to stiff that it falls off 3 out of 5 times you open the door. I told my friend to hang onto his receipt because I am sure they will have warranty issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice product, poorly designed Just finished installing this product and agree with all the other reviewers, really bad instructions and the holding arrangement for the fixed glass is terrible, so poorly designed. I am a big man and the pivoting door is heavy. The design depends on a very thin strip of aluminum held down ONLY BY SILICONE to support the bottom of the fixed glass and then the pivoting door. I went and got some stop brackets and put them in, could only see a disaster happening. As does happen going by other reviews. Some days I am not that bright, BUT a hint somewhere, even a slight hint that the pivoting door should go to the shower head end would have been nice!!!! Yes I installed it wrong. When I get up enough energy is a few months I will fix it. LOL

Once finally installed it always felt like the door will eventually fall out and of course it did resulting in breaking several parts. If I had the option of returning this door to the store I would in a heartbeat. I wish there was a negative rating I could put on for this door.

Parts are not clearly labeled and the installation directions are very vague. Doors are very heavy - do believe that they will not be durable - can see a replacement product in near future. Would not purchase again.

Might as well look at how it's done and take pictures because you won't be able to decipher them. The two plastic clips that hold the fixed door in place are horrible. I had to pound them in place after the door was placed down as the weight of the door to clip them in place was not cutting it. I will never give this door a good rating as it is horrible. Maax should be giving every person who bought this garbage a full refund in price and remove it from production. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE! Look for other products and pay attention to reviews. I didn't and paid the price. I am unable to give this product a zero star as zero would be too much. It deserves a negative 5 star rating.

Important details should be bolded (eg/ if this model, start on page##). Left bottom of door plastic off as just causes water on floor. Love the heavy quality of the door. Opens/closes with ease. Door is quiet, solid and feels like quality. Looks great. Only issue is the bottom 2 pieces that you slip in holes after door adjusted fell on floor and won't stay in....need to get them replaced.

Just curious if there is a way to turn these pivot doors into slider doors?   We installed this shower and don’t have the huge clearance needed for the swing door!    Or is there a slider door that will fit this????   HELP!

I can't see how, as you require a track system to "slide" a door...it's just as cheap to buy the correct door, if this one does fit. There is a few inches on the hinge that adjust for differences in opening widths....if your smaller the that, I see no other option then to cut down glass and rails...or return, or resell and get the right one for your opening.

The door length is adjustable so should fit the opening. Not sure though if it’s a good idea to drool holes to attached the reinforcement bar which supports the fixed door tho the wall where the shower head is. There should be a stud behind to hold it.

Dear Patricksimard...Yes the Reveal door can be installed with the door on the right or the left side but Maax highly recommends the door panel to be on the same side as the shower head if possible.. Thank You!

Further to my previous question sorry I was not clear. I want to know if this item can be attached to the wall as a shower Shield without an alcove or return panel. This is what I meant buy stand-alone. The unit would just act as a shield in an open area

What size silicone seal can be used on the gap between the vertical door and the vertical glass. I seem to have a small amount of water going between the gap.
