This tile adaptor will be required to install a glass shower door if you select a MAAX Essence shower base not sold with a wall kit. Contrary to standard shower bases were the shower door lays on the base at its bottom and is connected to the tile on each side, most MAAX Essence shower bases will meet the door on it's side, leaving a gap between the door and the tile. This is where the tile adaptor comes in: to fill the gap. Please refer to model numbers listed bellow to verify your selected model. All MAAX Essence shower bases in 48-inch x 34-inch, 60-inch x 30-inch, and 60-inch x34-inch will require a tile adaptor if a glass shower door is preferred.
