The 18V LXT Brushless Polisher/Sander (DPV300Z, tool only) is a compact solution for precise detail polishing or sanding applications. A dual speed selector provides 0-2,800 RPM in polish mode and 0-9,500 RPM in sanding mode. A variable speed trigger with power lock-on provides added convenience. The brushless motor enables the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer run time performance and rubberized gear housing helps protect delicate surfaces. The polisher/sander features Anti-restart protection, which engineered to prevent motor start up when the battery is inserted with power switch in locked-on position. Its part of Makitas expanding 18V LXT System, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger
