The 40V Max XGT Brushless X-Lock 125mm (5") Paddle Switch Angle Grinder (GA044G) delivers corded grinding performance without the cord for the most demanding applications The unique feature with this angle grinder is the X-LOCK Technology, which is a quick-change system for tool-free wheel changes. A click-mount and pull release lever make changing wheels easy. It is ideal for grinding and cutting a wide range of materials. The GA044G is powered by a Makita-built variable speed brushless motor for longer run time, increased power, speed, and longer tool life. Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT) turns the motor off if rotation speed suddenly slows shutting down the tool in the event of a kickback

Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) automatically shuts down the tool if there is a sudden drop in rotation speed (e.g. kick-back)

eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) offers maximum protection against dust, debris and liquids for optimal performance in extreme conditions

Constant speed control feature maintains constant speed under heavy load

Anti-restart feature prevents accidental start up of tool during battery changing when switch is locked in the on position

Soft start feature gradually increases speed to eliminate start up shock

Electric brake stops wheel or disc 3-5 seconds after switch is released for increased operator safety
