If you're looking for hardwood flooring that would complete that clean, hygge, minimalist, and Scandinavian interior you've been envisioning, look no further. The Malibu Wide Plank (Maple Manhattan) opens and brightens up small spaces like magic. The 6-1/2 in wide planks creates a sense of luxury, while the natural hand-stained "Manhattan" surface keeps the interior feeling cozy. It's on the pricey side, but worth it. The one caveat is that you will need to sweep and mop the floors fairly frequently if there's heavy traffic in and out of the house. Nothing that a rumba vacuum can't handle though.

This was my first experience with an engineering click hardwood product. I was hesitant at first, but really like the way the new floors look now. The only complaint I have is the color variation within the cases. I didn't think this would be an issue at all, therefore, did not order any extra cases to cover for any off-color pieces. However, I imagine some buyers may need to order 10% or more cases just to improve the color match in their installations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy we chose this flooring and we continue to get compliments all the time. It is beautiful ... So happy we chose this flooring and we continue to get compliments all the time. It is beautiful and looks much more expensive than its price point. Installation tip: make sure if you're doing click and lock (without glue) that your crew is tapping the pieces after locking in place. Our did not :/ and the seaming could be a bit closer. Glue down is definitely preferred if you want to mitigate the sound of walking on the floor. That's the only thing I give < 5 stars.

The flooring does not look like the internet picture.....it is not white at all....it is a birch color....Nice but not as shown....personally it is not what I expected and there were no samples in the store. Once we loaded it and carted it to the house my husband would not return it.....in hind sight I will open the box in the store before I cart anything home to avoid disappointment

The floor itself is beautiful. I love the vanilla white washed color, the grain, and the size of the planks. This floor is not high use, family friendly though. It has a matte finish that I do like and knew it was matte when we purchased it. However, it does not clean well. No matter what I have used to clean it with (ie water and vinegar, Thieves all natural cleaner, or something very similar), prints (feet or paw) DO NOT come up. When it dries, because of the finish, you can still see them. We don’t wear shoes in the house either. It’s VERY frustrating because we have a huge great room. I will have to live with these floors for a while because they are new. I would not recommend this particular brand/finish for a family or high traffic area. Note* last two pix are not dirty paws.... he just walked over it before dry.

We love the look of the floor - it has a matte feel that looks luxurious and the details in the wood are beautiful. We would highly recommend the product not only for its looks but also for its value and how quick the company was to ship it. We had to special order the wood and 25 cases arrived after just a few days.

No. It can be installed as a floating floor using just the Click Lock system with an underlayment or it can be direct glued without an underlayment

Definitely don&rsquo;t want to get this flooring wet. Highly recommend not installing it in areas known for high moisture. It will cup, separate, and mold.

Does the ?snap crackle pop? sound ever go away? Day 2 Of the floors and it sounds like walking on laminate. They look beautiful but sound embarrassing.

Your Malibu Wide Plank Hardwood Floating Floor should not squeak, or make a cracking/popping sound. Subfloor should be level per installation guideline details as Subfloor flatness is critical to movement vertically and vertical movement is what creates noise. Please ensure T-molds were used at all doorways to transition from room to room, the underlayment should be 2 mm thick or less, subfloor should be level according to the installation guidelines as you don&rsquo;t want deflection to occur which is movement up and down on the floor when you walk on it that may cause a noise. Also check to ensure proper expansion space around all walls at least &frac12;&rdquo;per the installation guidelines. A few highlights from installation guide which is located inside each case of flooring, and also attached to each product listing page under info &amp; Guides: (Sound Control Underlayment): Check with sound control manufacturer for application guidelines. Generally, the less compressive 2mm or less underlayment is preferred. (Expansion Gap): Required gap width is 1/2&rdquo;. It is required around the perimeter of the floor and between floor and all vertical obstructions. Do not place permanently installed structures such as kitchen counter/cabinet on the installed floor. (Transition Molding) Floating installation, transition T-molding is required in the following cases: floor spanning greater than 35 feet in length or width; wall openings-with or without door. Hardwood flooring cannot be made waterproof. Hardwood is installed in many bathrooms but water/moisture would need to be removed as soon as possible to avoid penetration. Moisture damage would not be covered under terms of the warranty

It can be, however you could only use planks that are the exact same length. The product has random lengths. You would also need to glue the joints with a tongue and groove adhesive since the ends are fold and lock. There would be a large waste factor
