All grout lines are sealed with the new TG shield making them 100% stain proof. This Spc True grout product offers a 20 Mil (0.5 mm) protection against excessive wear for everyday traffic. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfying install with the right tools. I finished my installation about a month ago. This product takes a bit of planning to install in tight spaces due to the size of the pieces (18.5 x 37”) but the ease of install in large spaces makes up for that. I had a bit of both. My wife was in charge of the aggravating job of the layout of tiles. I just installed the pattern as she laid them out. Very happy with the end result. The only issue I encountered is the fragile corner (top left holding the tile face up as it installs). Chipping off that tiny piece results in a visible hole in the joint line. I installed one damaged tile before becoming aware, and in spite of taking extra care, had to relegate a few damaged corner tiles to locations where that corner was removed to install. My table saw and jigsaw made the cuts easy. I highly recommend this flooring.

They look great..super price point..no tear up to cover the existing tile floors...seem to click together well (my floor is completely flat though...).... But ...holy smokes! these things are slippery in socks! I mean like a hockey rink! (and much more than my existing old ceramic and hardwood). These were for a kitchen floor and I could see myself airborne with a pot of boiling pasta! Maybe slippy works for you...I bet kids would love these in a family room! But not for my purpose. So unfortunately...back they go. A shame because they look really nice. A little texture on the surface would have made them perfect.

The tile traps every bit of dirt!! the tiles have tiny grooves and the dirt goes in it and it’s very hard to clean. Seven months later my tiles are no longer white they’re white with gray spots and I’m getting ready to change the floor again.

It looks fantastic, it's easy to lay (with patience and an eye for detail), and cleans easily. The only downside was the amount of wastage we had, but nothing could be done about that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, tricky install Just finished installing this flooring in a small bathroom. A few takeaways: you have to stagger the planks regardless if you want to have them line up in a grid or be off-set. Missed this point initially and had to re-do it. The short end of the planks are a bit tricky to “click” in and I am not sure how long lasting that connection will be - time will tell. Made sure to keep the area SUPER tidy because any bit of dirt or debris in the joints would affect the connection. Some others commented that there is a lot of wasted product and that is definitely true. I personally think it would be better for this company to manufacture these as squares instead of the two tiles in one rectangle to reduce waste and also make any future repairs easier. If your space is not square it’s also tricky to get the tiles in super easily - had to kind of shift all of the connected tiles constantly to get everything in. I am a handy person and good with tools and building and over all it was a bit more hectic to install than I initially predicted - if you are doing this install with your partner, you will probably fight and swear- but they look nice overall now that it’s all in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from biased i need to be honest with this product. its returned frequently because people are not installing it correctly. people want that checkered look when it should be staggered. its a very durable product and you need to be aware that the color will not be the same piece after piece, its not designed to be like that. dont be scared of different shades between the pieces.

Can this be installed over existing sheet vinyl or should that be removed including the glue before installation?

SPC flooring Marbelesque can be installed directly on top of your existing floor if the condition of your flooring is flat and smooth. Heavily cushioned vinyl flooring or vinyl flooring consisting of multiple layers are NOT suitable subfloors.

how do you finish the gaps at the edges in a bathroom? Run a bead of caulk? Don't want water from shower getting underneath...

I used grey color rubber strips to cover the gaps. I went to a carpet supply shop and picked up various type and color of materials (metal, oak and rubber) to set in for look. The grey rubber matches the tile, not the best but acceptable.

how are your seams holding up? i’m noticing some bulging in some areas where the tiles connected and it doesn’t appear to be from moisture.

Hello and thank you for your question, This can be caused at the time of installation, if the tongue and groove were not properly aligned, the edge can raise slightly at the time of insertion . We recommend using a dead blow hammer, gently tapping the planks to correctly insert the tongue part of the product into the groove. Especially with vinyl, to avoid breakage of the tongues and grooves and eventual lifting, prior to installation it is important to ensure that your subfloor is completely straight and level. Do the grout seems have to line up or can you do a brick pattern where the next rows grout line is in the middle of the prior tile… I think this would put the real seam at about 9 inches from last real seam.

Hello and thank you for your question, There's two way of installation, Aligned or Brick. If you choose the aligned look , cut a plank in exactly 1/2, place one half-plank at the beginning of the e 2nd row, then align the grout line of the cut piece to the grout line of the first piece in the first row before locking/dropping into place and continue with full length planks . If you choose the “Brick” look, then you must cut 1/3rd of the plank, then place the balance (2/3rd of the plank) at the beginning of the 2nd row, before locking into place.
