Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compromise Excellence Actually wanted mirror Bifold Doors BUT with the increase in price I decided to budget well and they look fantastic ... match the rest of the doors in this 1970 upgraded home ... I still would have loved the mirror ones but life is full of compromises

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Measure before you buy! Warning! Measure the door before you buy it! I bought two doors, and one of them was wrongly identified by the factory. Instead of 79" it was 77". The package was unopened and undamaged, but the wrapper label (inside the plastic shrinkwrap) said 79".

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfaction The doors are great. I was only disappointed that although installation was available separately, no one was able to do it. I did find someone on my own who did a great job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as expected This door was perfect for the new closet we built and we didn't even realize it came with a track and hardware. I like that you can install either side to be left or right opning and that both sides have that panel detail. Ours got left outside (during covid deliveries) and moisture got in through the air holes in the plastic because it rained. One side swelled like it had terrible boils all over it so thankfully we took the hinges off, turned the doors around and they worked great. It does take a couole coats of paimt to cover the primer but all in all, a great door

Rated 4 out of 5 by from doors were half an inch too long. The doors look just the way I had hoped. Installation was a challenge as the previous doors were gone when I moved in. The hardware was installed; just no doors. I had hoped that they would just pop in. Trimming the bottom off the doors was necessary and then because they are made of pressed wood; I put numerous coats of paint on the bottom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from way overpriced again My first set were reasonably priced at Christmas. In March the price jumped to 70% then dropped to 20% after a lot of backlash which is when I got my second set. Now they are 70% higher than at Christmas again for no reason. Poor quality hardware and the primer is beige not white and is hard to cover. Cheap plastic housing on hardware breaks on undersize holes. They are not worth the price, shop elsewhere. I still need to replace the doors in 4 more rooms but not at this price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way Overpriced Now! In the past couple years I have purchased 12 of these doors. Slowly replacing them two by two throughout each bedroom. I came to Home Depot because they were the best priced. $10 less than other places. That's when these exact doors were $58 each where others where charging $69...they are now $100...almost double the price. I am in shock. Needless to say I did not leave the store with doors today and I refuse to pay $200 for 2 cheap bi-fold doors. I will be shopping second hand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fragile door Very fragile! The hardware that comes with is extremely fragile. The spring broken and got stucked inside the door.

Can someone tell me the width measurement of each door? I need an 18" x 80" door and I might be able to use one side of this bifold for a regular door.

    Asked by: earthfairies
Hello earthfairies, each door slab is 17-3/4" wide.

I have an opening that is 47 inchs . Will 2  24" doors fit in or would I have to cut doors. I know the hight says 80" but the exact Measurement is 79" so not sure of exact Measurement of the width is

    Asked by: Gord
47 1/2" "finished" width opening is required. If your 47" is your rough opening width, the doors will be too wide once you install your door jamb.

My opening is exactly 48 inches....I know I will need to trim the sides....it there room to do that with these doors and how much can be trimed

    Asked by: Yippie49
My 24 inch door was 1/8 inch too big. I installed it and it won't close all the way. I suggest you shave down before installing it. It is very hard to shave it down when it is up. Good luck.

Is there an option to install the door so it opens to both the right or the left?

    Asked by: doveman
Hello doveman, the handing of the door is determined by where the hardware is installed on the top track.

What is the actual height of this door? My finished opening including door jam is 80"

    Asked by: Kent
The actual door height of the ones I purchased is 79" to answer your question, but even at 80" they could easily be trimmed 1/4" up to probably 1/2" top and bottom without losing structural integrity.

Are all bifold doors 1/2" short in width like Model #093657, the 24" x 80" Masonite door.

    Asked by: Noah
Yes, because they need room at the sides to clear the jamb and the hardware (pivot brackets) when they are opened and closed.

Does the door come with the hardware & knobs?

    Asked by: Crafty Lady
Hello Crafty Lady, Yes, this door will come with all of the hardware to mount the door into the opening.

My rough opening is 48 1/4 x 80 1/4. How much height above the door does the hanging/sliding hardware require and how much below the door does the mounting bracket on the floor require?

    Asked by: bp1254
Your dimensions will work if they are the "finished" opening dimensions. They won't work if you are going to make the dimensions smaller by adding a wood or pdf jamb. The bifold doors are standard cut to 79", even though they say 80" on the packaging, and this is to allow for space for the track and for the floor. I find this to be a bit tight, especially on carpet. An inch and a half total is much better, but if you have 80.25" finished, that should be fine.
