Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacing your door, this is what you want Door slab that can be installed in existing frame, you cut mortise and doorknob (easy to do, buy a template for the knob for $20, and just line up the hinges with the old door) and you're all set. Replaced all interior doors in a weekend, never done it before, but it was easy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good inexpensive door I purchased this door to replace my office door a 100 year old townhome. The demenions of this door matched mine perectly, so I didn't have to put a 30X80 solid wood door and take 2 " off it to get it to fit. I've never replaced a door before and it was a learning process, if your new at this, you need to get the lockset kit, it will really provide a clean professional look. Okay so back to the door, it was hard to cut in the mortises (reliefs) into the wood because its all engineered. Also I have to take into count my novice workmanship, but it all worked out great. Its also a very light door which makes handling and hanging the door as a one man job, much easier. Plus I like the look of this door alot better, I know your thinking, dude you had solid wood doors, well I say just because doors are solid wood doesn't mean they can't be ugly. I finished off this door with a schlage doorknob. Recommended!

I'm thinking about using a couple of these doors as barn doors. I would need to cut out a groove (1/4" wide x 9/16" high) along the middle of the bottom (along the width) to allow the door to run along the floor guide. Is this possible? Thanks.

    Asked by: SMBT
Hello SMBT, It is possible to route a groove on the bottom of the door.

Can this door be trimmed in height by 2 or 3 inches

    Asked by: DoorHappy
Hello DoorHappy, This door has a trim allowance of 1/8" on all sides. Trimming beyond this standard will void the warranty and compromise the integrity of the door slab.

    Hardware holes

Does it come with the door handle hole pre-drilled or does the installer have to do that?
    Asked by: Anonymous
It does not come with a pre-drilled hole. You would have to make the hole with a hole saw. Hope this helps.
