Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rookie Door Installation Big solid door. Wanted to match the rest of the house with an interior solid core door. Special order but delivered on time. Door was strapped and screwed down to a pallet the size of the door. This was great as it was a couple of weeks before install and i didnt want the frame to warp leaning against something. My first time hanging a door and when i foamed the gap it distorted the frame. Make sure you have enough attachment point to prevent that if you use spray foam insulation.

The reason I am giving this a 2 star review is because once I installed it I realized there is a massive bubble in the back of the door about 6”x 6” in diameter. Luckily this door is being used in an area where there is little foot traffic and can be hidden from public eyes

The finish on the frame is nice but is not fun to repair if it gets chipped or cracks. Door doesn’t have the faceplate slot routered.

Can this door be cut off at the top and bottom? If so, how much?

As much as you want.. but keep in mind, the more you cut the lower your handle is. there is a mdf block at the end of the door that you need to re-use. Also lots of youtube video on this modification.

This is a prehung door, so it comes with the frame and hinges all already routed out. The handles are pre-drilled too.
