Is it possible to cut this door down by 10", the specs don't detail the measurements from top and bottom of door to the start of the panel?

Hi Julie, there are 5" on both the left and right side of the "panel", 4.5" on top and 10.5" at the bottom. I hope this helps.

Are the sides solid? If not, can you provide the measurement range that is solid to bore a hole for a handle? Thanks.

Hello David, the Lincoln Park hollow core will have a perimeter of 1/4" solid wood, at the exception of the area where the bore is located, in which the back set is 2 3/8".

Is this door actually solid core? The title line says 'hollow core' and the specs say 'solid core.'

The door doesn't have a solid core, however it is a lot heavier than "regular" hollow doors. I purchased 4 of them and don't regret it one bit.

Yes. We actually installed as a pocket door for a bathroom. It's just a blank door, no holes at all so you do what you want.
