Rated 1 out of 5 by from These doors are JUNK Bought these doors to finish the basement. Had to trim 3/4" off the bottom of the door itself in order to accommodate space for laminate flooring installation. It turns out that these doors only have 3/4" of solid material on the bottom, so I wound up already in the hollow space, which I now have to fill with something. The solid material is also just cheap pressed cardboard. Cheap cardboard around the latch space as well. To think these flimsy pieces of junk cost almost $200 each is a complete farce. They're extremely cheaply made, so if you have to make any modifications at all, steer clear unless you want a headache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have just started reno's on the bedroom and this product was very easy to install, even for a beginner skill level. Once painted in a pure ultra white from BEHR they look great and made the closet look bran new.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prehung interior doors - poor quality I purchased two doors one left hand one right hand. Covid curbside pickup. One of the doors wouldn't close because the hinges were not set deep enough in the jamb so I had to chisel out 1/8 inch for each hinge. The other, the top of the jamb was not aligned with one side so I had to pull it off and re-assemble it. Paint layer easily chips off jambs. Complete pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Check height Be careful about the size. This is the minimum height which some basement with lesser height needs. The normal height is 80”. If you want to match existing door check the height first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality Good quality and easy to install. Matches my other doors perfectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy your door somewhere else I bought this door a few days ago and couldn't be more disappointed with the build quality. All of the mounting points (hinges and latch) are fibreboard - extremely easy to strip, the latch didn't line up with the strike plate, the hinges squeak, there are gaps in the joints. Most of these you discover after getting the door home and some after installation. I am generally a big fan of Home Depot and buy almost all of my home care needs here - but this door is the worst. Do better Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price The door was reasonable quality for the price point. Only complaint is the pre-drilled door handle opening is a bit low, which is even worse if you need to trim the door height to fit a shorter opening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a Door The door fit properly and works as expected, easy to install, just make sure you clean the areas where the hinges where machined, very satisfied

I plan to replace the hinges on the 6 panel pre-hung door. Are they 3" or 3 1/2 " ?

Asked by: The Z
I just went and measured and they are 3 1/2”.

I am confused about the size of this door. Is it 30x78 (which is exactly the size of the existing door I am looking to replace) or is it 31.5x79.5 (which would be far too large for my door opening)? If it's the latter, what are my options?

Asked by: gibtron9000
Hi :) I found that when they describe the measurements on the home depot web site; . they give you two separate measurements........ the finished opening and the rough in opening. the rough in opening is the measurement you need use; to figure out if the door will fit in the opening I've used many of those primed pre-hung doors in past job applications. You'll be surprised how easy it is ; after you get one done; under you're belt hope that helps Dennis :)

Are these available as solid core (i.e. Masonite’s Safe ‘N Sound® Solid)

Asked by: Anonymous
Standard molded panel bifolds (like this one) are not available in a solid core. However, Masonite does have other bifold doors that are available as solid core. Contact your local Home Depot for options and prices.

The rough opening required is 32.5 for this 30X78 door, my opening space is 32, am I able to use this door?

Asked by: Justin
A 30" door plus frame is 31.5" wide. Therefore a 32" rough opening is ok if the studs are straight. You'll need to shim it but don't screw too hard or you'll bend the frame and it won't open properly. Alternately, you can use the Quick Door Hanger clips and avoid the shims.
