The MAXIMUS Smart Security Light is an aesthetically designed light in Traditional look with a built-in home security all-in-one. The Smart Security Light detects someone approaching your home, sends a real time alert, and makes it possible for you to engage in a live conversation or sound an alarm all from your smart phone. The light is easy to install in approximately 15 minutes when replacing an existing light fixture. No extra wiring is required. The light can be turned on and off remotely, a schedule be set, or automatically turned on in dusk-to-dawn mode or activated in response to motion from the smart phone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constant Problems These lights are great looking but always have technical issues. They loose WiFi signal often, and the reset steps are a pain. One of the cameras has had a green screen during live view since the first month of install. This company needs to improve their tech if they are going to charge this price. HOLD OFF on purchasing these lights.

It was easy to install, even replacing a 75-year old porch light. The app is easy to use and allows a lot of customization. I believe the programming of the light has been much improved over the early reviews here. We are on a busy street with lots of pedestians and dog walkers. We get very few false positives — just solid notification of people coming to the door. The manufacturer now supplies their own bulb with the unit, and the night vision is great. I think people kept putting inappropriate bulbs in the unit, so they took matters into their own hands I did not subscribe to the monthly plan because two-hour lookback is fine for us. It’s great to see when the mail or deliveries happen. It’s also nice to see the weather outside, day or night, from bed with the blinds shut. I highly recommend the unit.
