Rated 5 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You really must see this gorgeous area rug to really appreciate how beautiful it is. It is a loomed rug. The scrolled pattern tuft is raised giving it an embossed look. Add to that the black to gray shading throughout and well, you have a soft very attractive addition to any room in the house. . I have it laying on a laminate floor without any non-slip rug pad underneath and it stays put. That is surprising because the backing is made of jute and a non-slip rug pad is recommended. I have several area rugs but this one is by far my favorite. Well done ! . .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a truly beautiful rug!! I absolutely love the colors and the way they transition on the light gray background. The embossed damask pattern goes from white to a deep burgundy very gradually and has an almost three-dimensional effect that is stunning. The size is as described and seems to be well made. About the only thing I can criticize is that I wish the pile was just a little bit thicker. It's not so thin that I worry about it lasting, but just would have preferred a tiny bit more thickness. That said, I didn't have any problems getting it to lay flat after unrolling, but I do recommend getting a non-slip rug pad to put under it, especially if you're putting it on a hardwood floor because it does slide very easily without a pad. Overall, I am very happy with this rug and it works beautifully in my newly redecorated home office!!

I have bought many area rugs all with this same backing & had not heard it referred to as “Jute backing”. I looked up what it meant. Sadly, Home Depot’s pictures showed its side edging, but not backing (my review picture shows this for people who want to know). Upon arrival it’s the same as every other area rug I’ve ever owned. Nor did I find it to resemble what I saw when looking at “Jute” images online. Loving Damask, the pattern & color shades made it irresistible. Since its final resting place will be the bedroom with ¼ of the rug under 2 bed frame legs and ¾’s showing/usable, we skipped the recommended non-slip rug pad; figuring it should stay in place. It should last for years since shoes, food, beverages are forbidden there. The rug I received was very well made (no loose loops in pattern, edge stitching all tight) & soft to the touch. I had hoped my damask rug would have more dark shades/less light but came exactly the opposite. That is the chance you take obtaining on-line; I still love it and will position it to have the dark area’s in the pattern visible. Very pleased with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although we would have preferred a more consistent color in the rug, it is a very high quality. It has a nice binding all the way around it and the corners of the binding are crisp and clean. The backing is a typical rug backing. We have ours on a laminated floor and it would slide a little until we put the furniture back in the room and some of the furniture set on the rug. As you expect, it comes rolled up and after a couple of days the curl is almost completely gone.

The backing looks of high quality as well.SInce I'm going to use this on a wooden floor I'll protect the floor from scratching and comfort with a rug pad. What is unique about this rug is that it seems to change color as you look at it from different directions. I'll probably protect the top fabric with a protectant spray. Excellent choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Concord Global Trading Damask Gray 5 ft. x 7 ft. Area Rug has a nice pattern, but an oddly fading pattern. Overall the quality of the rug is decent, however the quality control is lacking. There was a a nearly foot long section of imbedded tufts sticky out of the carpet at one point. We tried to see if the tufts were loose and left from manufacturing. They did not come out. We tried to pull them back flat from the back but that also did not work. See attached photo with the yellow circle for the area of defect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Concord Damask carpet is absolutely beautiful in design, texture and color! I have it in the entrance way of my home which was built in 1841. It looks really fantastic with the old woodwork and sliding wooden doors. It is the first thing my guests see when they come to visit and the compliments I always receive are amazing! This carpet however would fit perfectly in any decor because it is so universally appealing!
