It does hold some stuff and some weight, but I expected more. I still recommend the product .Date published: 2019-03-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Kccokingdom from Stable and easy to set up. Currently renovating a home. Crown moulding, wood ceilings, new light fixtures, etc. So much more comfortable and convenient than working on a ladder. Laying a floor and have my saw set up on it, rolling it into whatever room I’m working in. Love that it can be used as shelving. Once it is assembled, it is also easily disassembled. It can be stored in a relatively small space until you need to use it again. It's a cart, it's a workbench, It's a scaffold. It comes with brackets to mount a miter saw. It can be adapted to being a stair scaffold. Because the sides separate they are stored in a space half the height of comparable scaffolds. After having an accident on a questionable ladder I have changed my attitude on ladders. I never even look at the price anymore. Buy the best ladder you can afford because that is your safety we're talking about. So it's a nice scaffold. Additional levels can be added. It will even fit with other company's scaffolds you may already have. I plan to purchase the outriggers because, safety. Speaking of going to 11, if you're a musician, this would make a great stage. Room for the guitar, bass, and the frontman, plus equipment up to 1100 lbs. Drummer can get his own scaffold. Load Capacity This was delivered by a long 18-wheeler so had to be unloaded at the end of our driveway, and at 162 lbs. plus a long pallet, this was definitely a 2-man operation. We slid it carefully into my neighbor’s pickup and took it up to the barn. We had to be extra careful because the long pallet was broken on one side (see photo) and nails were exposed underneath. I carefully cut free the inside area of the box top from its sides with a razor knife to expose the multi-purpose scaffold components inside because working alone, I could not tilt the heavy box and remove the entire box top in one piece. All the interior parts were secured with nylon cable ties and seemed to have traveled well without any damage. The assembly instruction illustrations were clear enough and actual assembly was very simple and straight forward. There are numerous configurations inherent to the design, but since we will be using it initially to paint the barn’s inside walls, I went with a basic scaffold option (note in the other photo the four sliding brackets provided to support a miter saw are on the upper shelf; two of the four sliding brackets are for supporting longer pieces of work with adjustable height rests also in the photo). Each of the four corners has a locking 3600 caster that when locked down with the toe of your boot not only prevents wheel rotation but caster rotation as well. This seems like a very solid arrangement for added stability and safety along with the included brackets to attach the scaffold to a wall to keep it from tipping. I noted in the instructions that when converting the multi-purpose scaffold to a miter saw table, the upper shelf needs to be turned upside down to expose the saw attachment brackets. During assembly, I was able to install the shelf by myself, but it is large and heavy and better handled by two people. The shelf as well as the pictured wire shelf unit may be positioned anywhere from the floor level to the top of the side extensions. Adjusting the shelf height is very easy due to the spring loaded U-locks that can be operated with one hand. However, if the extra weight of a miter saw was installed, this would be better done with two people. The instructions illustrate some optional accessories like outriggers, extensions pieces and guardrails to name a few. We are very pleased with obvious quality construction and future potential applications for this most flexible addition to our “remodeling tool box” options. It is very easy to imagine this configured to a roll around project work table as we install windows, add cabinetry, etc., over the coming months.
