Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't trust someone else to pick your order Due to COVID restrictions, I was not able to select the material myself and as such, I received the material that an "order picker" selected for me. Of the boards I received, some were obviously the top/cover boards of the bundle that had been weathered, checked, cupped and warped and, some were nice boards. I would have returned the bad boards in a non COVID environment; just ordering them was an adventure, I wasn't about to try returning anything. Lesson learned, I will never order material for my projects; I'll personally select it myself. Having worked in the lumber industry in the past, I know that the top boards of a bundle are often sold as "cull" at a discount rate; I received lumber in this category as part of my order.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SCRAP LUMBER You need to have a rating BELOW 1 star!!! The fence boards were the WORST I have ever worked with. None of them were consistent in size ranging from 5”-51/2” wide (on the same board). Over a range of 5 boards there were as much as 1-13/4” difference! These boards should NOT be sold as fence boards. Because of a time constraint and remote location, I was forced to use them regardless, but I will NEVER purchase these from Home Depot again!!!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Many of the ones delivered were terrible quality Hundreds of these boards needed to be replaced as they were broken and terrible quality

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pressure treated Lumber is far too wet. The humidity of your Siena pressure treated lumber is Way too high, I purchased a whole deck project Last Season, including: 4x4 posts, 2x4’s, 5/4 deck boards, and fence boards. I spaced my deck boards 5/16” apart on building, and now after they have dried out they are 5/8” apart, the 4x4 posts have now split Wide open and twisted, the 2x4’s have warped, and my fence boards that started out with a 1/4” spacing and now have 1/2” gaps. Unfortunately this season my deck looks far older than new one last season.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware of rising prices! Last week (Apr 3) these boards were $6.34 each. Last year they were half of what they are now. Looks like a good year to put off our projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Staff picked lumber has its shortfalls The boards were picked by the staff so they were not the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! Buy somewhere else! These were awful. They came twisted, warped and cracked. There were so many boards that were unusable, I bought more somewhere else and have a stack leftover here from home depot that are no good for any project that requires any aesthetic quality. I highly recommend buying somewhere else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fence board It is as described. Nothing more. Nothing less. Not warped, twisted, cracked, or bowed. Flat and straight. Good for making fences.

This says certified environmentally preferable... Does that mean there's no arsenic? Can I use this wood for a raised garden bed? No undesired chemicals will seep into my vegetables?

Asked by: Baihe8
Hello Baihe8, Yes, MicroPro Sienna treated wood products may be used to construct raised bed gardens/planter. For more information visit https://microprosienna.com/resources/faq/

Can I use this to build a vegetable garden? I'm reading mixed comments on using pressure treated wood - it used to be bad, but now it's ok?

Asked by: Rosie Winter
Hello Rosie Winter, MicroPro Sienna treated wood products may be used to construct raised garden beds. The MicroPro treated wood process is certified by Scientific Certification Systems, Inc. (SCS) as an Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) based on SCS’ Life-Cycle Assessment. Very small amounts of copper and azole will migrate out of MicroPro Sienna treated wood over time. If it is desirable to minimize the migration of copper or azole into the soil of a raised garden bed, we recommend that a suitable thin plastic material be used as a barrier between the MicroPro Sienna treated wood and the raised garden bed soil. The use of a plastic barrier will also help keep soil within the bed area. For proper drainage, the plastic material should not be used underneath the raised garden bed. However 1x6x6 should not be used for inground contact, 4x4 or 6x6 would be recommend.

could we use this 1 x 6 x 8' treated wood on top of existing wood deck (concern about extra weight)

Asked by: vahid
I used this exact product to re-top my existing deck at the trailer. It has the same look as deck boards and weighs less. It weathered nicely over the winter. I would not use this product to build the initial deck but when covering deck boards the product is perfect!

I have a friend who used this for a wall indoor it looks fantastic but I am wondering if it is safe for indoors?  Thank you

Asked by: Kathe
I would not use this product indoors , a better choice would be a none treated wood perhaps cedar or pine boards . Any wood that is treated is for outdoor use only .

Which species of wood is this? There are some boards with knots and other boards that are much heavier with no knots. Definitely 2 different species. Seems like there is Spruce mixed with larch?
