I love being able to program it and control it with the app. I also appreciate the U-shape design, I think it makes the window unit a bit more secure. Installation was fine, took a bit more brain power than the old unit I had been using. The installation video on the website was not the most up to date, so that was confusing at first. I eventually tried the QR code on the side of the box, that worked and I finished the installation. It keeps my space cool, and the motor is relatively quiet (in comparison to older style units). I’ve only been using it for a month, but so far I would recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet and looks nice in the window Took a while (and two people) to install properly, but once in, it looks great and works really well. I love how secure and sturdy it is in the window, especially as the window comes down almost all the way closed instead of those flimsy accordian side flaps that many AC units have. It is very quiet, not just inside, but out as well (much quieter than the neighbours' units), and seems quite energy efficient. You can turn off the display as welll, which makes sleeping easier (the first night I didn't know this, and it is quite bright). The remote and wifi compatibility are icing on the cake. Overall, very happy with this purchase. If I need a second unit in the future, I would choose this model again.

Installation was a little challenging as I didn’t account for a window sill that I have on the outside of my house making it so I could not use the included brackets. This is not a product limitation however I would suggest you watch the very well made installation video and observe if your window is built the same and if you have the DYI skills to adapt. As for the product: 1 month in this product is more than enough to cool my bedroom. Quiet. Easy to sleep. Stylish. Love how the window can be closed. The remote is nice to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Midea U-Shaped Air Conditioner is by far the BEST This by far the best air conditioner I have ever owned. It is truly whisper quiet and extremely efficient. You can walk in a room and feel the cool air and hardly hear the Midea U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner . The base to place it in for window opening is wonderful and gives great stability. Although it is primarily designed for use in a vertical window opening it installs very easily in horizontal windows also. By far the #1 air conditioner on the market and well worth the extra cost of cheaper but noisy competitor models.

Mon appartement d'environ 900 pi ca reste frais lors des canicules, s'il fonctionne en continu à basse vitesse. Produit ingénieux, car la partie bruyante est à l'extérieur. N'a pas l'apparence d'un produit massif dans la fenêtre et vaut mieux être 2 personnes pour la positionner. Si vous êtes bricoleur, il est plutôt facile à installer et le support, inclus dans la boite, est un plus. J'ai dû ajouter une pièce en bois pour avoir la bonne pente du climatiseur(voir photo).

I found I did need to buy more foam to stick around the unit to seal my window. I noticed it doesn’t have any drain holes, I’m sure there’s a reason, just be sure to have a towel close by if you intend to remove it for winter. An otherwise amazing purchase.

My window was about 3" wider than the installation pieces so had to make some modifications. Only negative is if you have cats. They like to sit on the ledge and may shut the flap and it won't automatically reopen. As you can see I got around that too 😊

It provides a cool fan when I’m standing in front of it, but I want the room to cool down. It installed easy enough and the u-shape made sealing the window opening painless.

Does the unit need to be removed in the winter? If it does, does the mounting material also need to be removed?

Can this unit be used on a old double window? there is 5 to 6 inch between the windows

We have an outdoor electrical outlet very close to the window where the A/C would be installed but no outlet close to that window inside the house. Can the air conditioner be used if it is plugged in on the outside of the house instead of inside?

Exposure to rain and insects can cause electric shock or damage to the power cord. We recommend connecting the unit to a dedicated indoor wall socket.
