Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and easy peasy Doors look great in my application as pocket doors to bathrooms. After reading the negative comments about the challenge of removing the protective film, I watched the company's you tube video on how to remove the film. As my doors were hanging I simply started the removal by pulling the film from the bottom up and towards myself and then rolled the film up and back towards the door capturing the majority of the flakes inside the film as I rolled. Once completely removed I used my vacuum with the soft brush attachment to vacuum any pieces still held by static to the door and any pieces that had fallen to the floor. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great doors. Great product, solid construction with reasonable room top and bottom for trimming to size. I didn’t have any of the previously-mentioned issues with the opacity of the glass in the seven doors we installed. Best to take your time and work the doors outside, especially when removing the masking on the glass. One thing we noticed was that rolling or spraying a layer of paint onto the masking while painting the doors seals the primer onto it and eliminates the flaking of the factory primer when removing the masking, saving a bit of workspace cleanup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Door I love BUT.... I purchased 3 of these doors and had them professionally installed. They are a very nice interior door. The privacy glass is perfect you cannot see into the rooms. The problem I have an the frustration as I still have specs of white primer on me. Is the primer was sprayed over the protective plastic on the glass and no matter how you attempt to take it off its a MESS. Its all over my house now and hard to suck up with the vacuum as it also sticks to my flooring. Will take alot of time to clean up,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No mess for us We removed the plastic coating prior to installation of door after reading all the comments about the big mess. We laid the door horizontally and removed one side at at time rolling the flaking primer up in the plastic as it was rolled back. Very tidy. Too soon to tell how happy we are with the door, its not installed yet, but so far, its all good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unless you like a huge mess don't but these. The door is nice however they have a protective coating on the glass which you have to peel off. The plastic is hard to get to (or at least it was on my set) and I had to scrape a corner to try and get to the plastic so I could peel it off. Then the fun began! Since they sprayed the primer over the film, every time you pulled a piece of the plastic off a million pieces of shards of paint fell on the floor. The plastic was on very tight almost like the tightest face mask you could imagine. I would not buy these again as it was very frustrating to take off and made the biggest mess. I bought another set of doors (different brand) and they had clear plastic with not paint that peeled off very easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ~ Pre-primed and pre-masked is nice. However, the masking (cling film) goes behind the millwork. You can't get all the plastic out, all you can do is use a sharp knife to cut around the perimeter and peel off the visible part. As you peel, the primer on the masking will flake off. It will make millions of tiny fiber shaped flakes that stick to everything.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality control The protective coating on the glass has a layer of primer on it, so when you remove it your left with an unbelievable mess of small tiny paint particles to clean up. Factory needs to fix this .... Very disappointed with this door.

Can you describe laminated glass? Does it have a film applied to the glass or is it a quality of the glass itself?

Yes, the glass has a thin almost plastic cover which makes it easier to paint. It came off easily!

I'd like to cut 3" off the length of the door. Is that possible?

I purchased two of the 30" x80" doors for my bathrooms. (1) Does anyone know what's the best hinge mortise jig for cutting the hinges? I was looking at the Ryobi jig - and (2) Should I use three hinges or can I get away with two?

Can these be ordered in 23" width? I have a 48" rough opening I want to put a set of French doors into.

No I don't think you can order them 23 but you could cut I would cut 3/16 or 1/8 off of each side of the door that's what I would do I had one door frame that was a quarter inch smaller from 24 in had to cut the door
