They were relatively easy to install and do the job they were intended to do. I just need to finish drywall and add trim and paint. We left the protective coating on the glass until the painting is finished.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1/8th inch MDF veneer chips when drilling hole This door is described as finger joint pine, but it's the 1/8th inch MDF veneer that's the problem. Sure, drilling the hole door handle can be tricky - something I've done dozens of times. But this one did not respond as expected, and an ugly cuff of veneer chipped off in the process. Not pleased that I took all necessary precautions and this still happened. Photo attached (just waiting for the putty repair to dry). The door did, however, trim up nicely on my table saw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to paint I would not buy a French door from this manufacturer again. Some of the trim cannot be easily painted as part of the trim edge curls under the glass. Unless you paint a thin stripe on the edge of the glass, the underside of the trim remains visible. It's OK if you're painting the door white, but any other colour will give you trouble.

The plastic was not hard to remove, any pieces caught under the wood were easily cut away with a blade. I am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great door Great door. I installed this door as a stand alone (I.e. not as a part of 2 french doors) and it turned out fantastically. I was also able to trimmed it quite a bit (at the top and at the bottom and also sideways) I definitely recommend this door.

Does this door come with the required hardware to mount an existing door way ?

This is a beautiful door that comes with glass intact and protective film on the glass so you can paint prior to hanging the door (we painted black). We have used it as a single door. It’s stunning!

I would suggest to buy 78inch high doors. These diors are hollow, so trimming them by 3 in may be too much.

In regards to your question , unfortunatelly our maximum trimming allowance is 2 1/4'' on the height (13/4'' on bottom rail and 1/2'' on top rail). At 77'' , your door is considered : custom door. I have an opening to an office space - 62 inches wide; 92 inches high for a door. Two questions 1. Should be looking at two doors 30X80" size or smaller 2. Should I buy prehung or order a frame separately (how much space does a frame take)?

Two 30 x 80 doors will be your most economical way to go. They will fit your opening with plenty of space for a site built frame. Too bad that off the rack doors are only 80" high. Creative shims and trim will be required to fill the space above the doors. Prehung doors are an easier way to go way to go if you can find a source.

The opening of my door frame is 78 inches tall x 30 inches wide. I am looking to purchase the 30x80 inch french door with glass. What would be the maximum cut of the height and width of the french door? I was thinking of cutting it down to 77 x 29 3/4.

Hello Tony, The maximum trimming allowance for the door height is 2” off the bottom only. The maximum width trimming is 5/16” total, 5/32” off each side.
