Rated 3 out of 5 by from Measure twice, cut once Beautiful door, but the pre-machined hinges do not match up to the pre-machined jamb set sold along side this door. middle hinge is 1/2 and bottom hinge is 3/4' to low. Top hinge, knob and latch set are bang on though. So I had to chisel out to fit, then fill gap with wood filler, prime then paint the whole door. Extra days work waiting for fill and paint to dry. Once done it looks great

We need to install a cat door in the door that we purchase.  What is the measurement of space between the glass and the bottom of the door?  Is it one sheet of glass, or is it several pieces of glass fitted in between each frame?

Hi Trisha, Thank you for choosing Milette Doors. The bottom rail measurement is 6-15/16”. The above measurement excludes the 3/8” colonial moulding. Each lite has its own seperate piece of glass. Why do the bottom 2 hinges on a machined door dont line up with jamb. Top hinge is fone

What size is the bore hole for the latch and the doorknob in inches?

Hi Jeny, The handle hole diameter is 2-1/8" (with a backset of 2-3/8") and the latch hole diameter is 1". The handle and latch holes are drilled 44-5/16" from the top of the door. Thank you, Milette Doors

what does" trimming allowance" on an interior door mean?

I want to purchase the Millette 30X80 Interior 15 lite door primed with clear glass and the information states that this door has a 2and a 1/4 trimming allowance on height. What exactly does that mean?

An 80’’ door can be cut of 2-1/4’’ total which we cut like this : ½’’ at the top 1-3/4’’ at the bottom So yes you can trim 1’’ from the bottom part without affecting the structure of the door. Is there a left and right opening door?

This door is pre-machined for either left or right hand swing, but be aware, as I found out the hard way. the bottom and middle hinges do not match up to Home Depots pre-machined reversible jamb set that they sell alongside this door. Not sure about any of the other doors. Middle hinge is 1/2" and bottom hinge is 3/4" pre-machined to low to match up with jamb set. Take your tape measure with you. Measure twice and cut once
