Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great door! See pictures Bought this door (wife’s request) shaker doors going in the house to replace original slabs. This one was picked to allow light in from our exterior door and to be able to see if someone is on the other side before opening. Fabulous. However when I was done preparing the door removing the plastic glass protection reviled some glue or other “stuff” on the glass. This was an easy fix by simply following the manufactures instructions and a little YouTube follow up. Please see before and after pictures and ignore the reviews where people simply missed this step when they installed there doors. These doors are quite nice

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What a mess! I'm not sure if I got some kind of defect with my door, but when it came to peeling off the plastic on the windows things got really messy. The paint that was sprayed onto the plastic from the priming stage flaked off in thousands of tiny strands. Not sure if this is supposed to happen. Either way it just takes a bit of time with the vacuum to clean things up. Anyways, the door turned out really nice, we installed it in our laundry room which has a window in it. Lets in lots of extra sunlight to the hallway while hiding the clutter! Just would of liked to not deal with the messy aftermath of the plastic removal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I purchased this door to be installed at the bottom of my basement stairs. It adds elegance and contemporary style to the room. You can't see details of anything beyond the glass and shadows can be seen which is what we wanted. Allows enough light as well to pass through to help with lighting at the bottom of the stairs. Offers enough sound insulation as well. Painting is made easy with the plastic covering on the windows especially if you would rather not spend time taping them up before hand. Door was straight, no issues at all such as nicks, scratches etc...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor information I knew this door received bad reviews before I bought it. I thought that if I could follow the instruction carefully I won't have the problems others had. I was wrong. The door's quality is not good as others indicated. Removing the firm is a painful process although I carefully followed all the instruction I collected. The glass has a good/smooth side and a rough side and it wasn't indicated anywhere, and it wasn't seen until the door installed and the firm removed. Then I knew I got the wrong side! In one word: bad quality and poor documentation totally inconderate of customer's satisfaction.

I painted, hung the doors, removed the protective glass coating and noticed the frosted glass does not cover completely, extremely visible by the edges! The only way you can see if the frost covers completely is if you remove the protective covering first, then there is double the work for painting. I have 3 of these doors and I am totally disgusted with the quality of this door. I plan to return all three; however, living 3 hours away from the nearest Home Depot adds to the problem! Don't buy this door, unless you want poor quality in your house.

I now have bought 5 of these doors over 2 purchases spanning 2 years and all of them have defects in the privacy treatment applied to the glass. The problem is that there is no way to know until you have brought the doors home, painted them, and removed the plastic filmic the glass is good. By that time, you spent hours with the doors and it’s a painful process to bringing them back. Milette doors are usually great but, after 5 of these primed doors with the privacy glass, it’s very disappointing.

Painted then ourselves only to peel off glass protector and find the edges of the glass werent frosted! Called the company and they told us to buy magic erasers and scrub! Maybe write ‘magic erasers not included’ in the description. Called a friend and he had the same issue! For our other 5 doors we will absolutely be going with a company who sends out FINISHED products.

How much can you trim off the width of a 24" door

I am wondering if this doors quality has improved since all these bad reviews?  Like was there something done about the problems with the glass?

Due to the porous nature of the Satin White glass we recommend using a melamine sponge (magic eraser) to eliminate any residue on the glass that could be present upon removal of the plastic protective film, doing so will not damage the finish of the glass. We also recommend using a magic eraser for future glass cleaning needs. Can this door be used as a pocket door?

If a glass pane gets broke is it easy to remove and replace with new. I would like to remove bottom panel to allow my cats access to room on other side of door but be able to replace if I sell my home.

I can’t see how a panel can be removed then replaced.  I am a carpenter and am baffled as to how they put it all together.  I hope we never have to worry about replacing a broken panel.
