Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice sander Bought this sander as a finishing sander. 400 grit or higher only. Couldn't get over the quality of the tool and is everything they say in the description. Never thought I would hear myself say this about an orbital sander but "it has got torque". I Own many RIDGID tools but after reviewing the RIDGID brand I decided to purchase the Milwaukee. Absolutely no regrets. This is my first Milwaukee tool and certainly not my last. Also come with a very nice carrying case. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is due to the high noise in comparison to a Bosch or Ridgid. Pros: Comfortable to hold, very nice job as a finishing sander and powerful. Cons: very loud, small on/off switch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Destroys sandpaper I bought this sander because of the Milwaukee name, but honestly after using it I will never buy another Milwaukee tool. There is clearly a design flaw that causes it to tear up a piece of sandpaper (no matter the brand) almost instantly. Causing frustration, time loss and wasted paper. Maybe a DEWALT sander will work for me, my Milwaukee is going in the trash!

First off the kids of the first collector poped off along with two of the plastic tabs that secure it. I think this sander I'd too powerful for the work it was designed for. It jumps around and doesn't track well. The clamps don't hold sandpaper properly causing the paper to tear, making it unusable. The pad under the paper is so thin that one of the screws wears through the paper leaving marks on whatever i am working on. I bought this sander to replace a 30 year old Makita sander that wore out . I'd heard good things about milwaukee tools and thought i was buying quality but this sander had convinced me that i was wrong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clip doesn't last When this unit holds the paper in place, it works quite well. However, over time the rubber coating around the clip that holds the paper in place gradually wears away (because it's in contact with the sand paper). After one medium sized job, the rubber is gone and I have to wrap electrical tape around the clip in order for it to hold the paper in place. As a result of this, the paper is constantly coming off or getting slack (causing it to rip). Look elsewhere as this is not a tool built to last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Switch problem Very sad to use this sander,couple months, I just use several times, switch has problems and stoped working, I put away the sander it started to shake by itself, and jumped to floor broke the dust box. I send to be repaired, after two months I got the cleaned sander, they told me the switch problem because dust, it’s weird, of course the dust made by the sander. if the sander can not resist dust I think it can only be use to clean windows. After the first work of repaired sander, the switch has problems again.very disappointed this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really disappointed in this sander. I bought this sander not long ago after owning another brand of sander for many years. It is basically not usable as the paper will not stay on the sander. I’ve tried a single sheet and multiple sheets with the same result. Also it vibrates way to much resulting in damage to the wood and the dust bag won’t stay on. I own a few Milwaukee tools, but wish I could return it and buy another brand.
