Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Milwaukee product ever Two major problems which make it close to impossible to use. The effort to remove the battery requires you to push the tabs walk the battery out. The internal tabs are too deep, I have tried to shave off them with little change. The other failure is the light extension rods, they drop/close everytime it is bumped. Expensive plug-in floor light.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken connector to battery This light is super awesome for unfinished basements and places like that but after a couple of times of using it i noticed it wasnt turning on. So after some inspecting i noticed on of the metal connector poles in the battery area was missing and it looked like it was broken clean off so ill have to check one of my batterys to see if its stuck in there. Really liked using this light, i dont know if it is just mine or if its a common problem

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpriced. Just not bright enough. I am a Milwaukee guy and General Contractor. However, I am disappointed in the M12 rocket light. I have owned three of the M18 rocket lights. The first one would not turn on after 6 months and the 2nd one conked out after only 3 months. Regardless, I like the m18 light so much that I keep buying them again. Now, this M12 light has an awesome tripod stand. it is light. it is maneuverable and stores nicely. The power button is solid to boot. The only problems are 1. Light intensity. I have flashlights that have more power. 2. Price. For $170 I sure expect the light to out power my $25 spotlight. The M18 rocket can light up an room for $190. This M12 version has trouble lighting up a closet.

Does the head detach from the leg set for use in confined areas. I can envision wanting to do this for work in a crawl space.

So, is this "tool only" or does it come with a battery? The description says no battery but other reviews talk as if the battery is included. If it doesn't have a battery, the $149 price tag is pretty steep.
Asked by: IndyMike
Trust only the item descriprion. If it says tool-only, there is no battery or charger.

How do I get the battery out to charge it?

Asked by: Keith
Pinch the battery on the ridged tabs as close as you can to where it meets the light and gently wiggle it out. It's a little tight admittedly, but it's not that hard.

Has anyone wished they had bought the m18 rocket light instead?

Asked by: Brad
Not if they have the 12v system already. This is more compact, lighter and cheaper to trade-off some of the features on the M18. Really, both are really great lights.
