Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't know how it works yet Ordered the chainsaw online, read all the details, drove 45 minutes to the store to pick it up, drove home, only to discover that you have to purchase chainsaw oil, which is not included. Wish that somewhere in the description it had told you you have to purchase oil before using it. The oil on its own doesn't meet minimum shopping requirements so now I'm forced to buy something else that I don't really want and have to drive another 1.5 hours to get the oil. Not only that but the store is closed for today. This should be mentioned in the product description.

I ran it on a 4ah 12v battery, and it pulled pretty strong for 40 minutes - not too shabby for such a small saw. Although the advertised maximum cutting thickness is 3”, I tested it with deadfall Manitoba Maple around 5” thick - the saw handled it without bogging at all, which is impressive considering the little .043” gauge “Full House” chain! I’m not sure that I like this type of chain on this saw, and I think that chip-clearance might be impairing the efficiency of cutting (it was throwing sawdust, not proper chips). I went and picked up a Stihl .043” skip chain, and I’ll test it on the same log to see what happens. This is a good piece of kit, and I would recommend it for yard work and light-duty limbing of felled trees.

The only difficulty was the first time removing the battery for charging, it fits very tight and I had to pull really hard. Pressing the 2 locks was not the issue. I wonder if one day a carrying case will exist for this saw.

I have had this for about 2 years and absolutely love it! My daughter laughed at my "little toy" but now borrows it all the time to clean up small trees encroaching on the garden and field. It has had a lot of use and I've noticed I always get better than expected battery time. Thank you for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect Saw For My Needs This replaces a cheap Amazon product. The saw is safe, rugged, comfortable, powerful for its size and has a decent lasting battery. I have cut up to 3" to 4" diam. dry hard maple and the saw performed well - 30 or 40 cuts on one charge. I bought it primarily for pruning and it has proven to be ideal. A second battery might be a good idea so you can swap them out. I would definitely recommend this saw to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong, Sturdy and Reliable I used this trimmer for on small trees and branches a few weekends ago with a 6.0 Ah spare battery. I cut down some small trees that were thicker than the recommended maximum thickness with ease. I was cutting quite a lot and had no overheating issues. I just tightened the chain once or twice. Watch out for the oil level, it goes fast. It feels like a mini AK well built and made for abuse!

Can you add a larger bar and chain to the 6 inch saw

There is nothing stopping this, but the width of the blade has to be respected and I would expect that the power required for a larger chain might be an issue. Not something I would do.
