Home Depot info was really unclear on whar came with it. Suggested that you buy batteries and charger like they didnt come with it. Anyway nice coat cuts wind and repels rain. Not so hot that it becomes uncomfortable. If I were going out in 18 degree weather I would wear another coat over it (layer). It is a medium weight coat not not cold weather gear. Looks good and keeps me warm while at the range.

Hello, I would like to get M12 Heated Jacket Kit - Black - Large but I just want to make sure whether it includes batteries and a charger or batteries and a charger should be separately purchased? Thank you.

Asked by: Evan
The 'kit' includes one battery and the appropriate charger, the 'bare' jacket is just that, and extra batteries can be purchased as well (as well as extra large capacity batteries) I've had once of these jackets since they first came out and also use the 12v Milwaukee tools so I have a lot of batteries. Ive never felt the need to use an extra capacity battery with my 1st Gen jacket and find that the regular battery will last 4-8 hrs, depending on the heat level chosen. If it's VERY cold (like for my sons drilling job during the winter in N.Sask), He wears his heated hoodie and has his wind/weather parka overtop, using 2 batteries for his 12 hr shifts. He keeps one on charge while hes running with the other, quick and easy to replace. The battery can be recharged in about 30 mins. Also, I now have a 12v Power Cord that I use when I'm out on my boat winter fishing so the battery is only used for 'back-up' power.
