The MILWAUKEE M18 Work Light lasts 600X longer than conventional incandescent light bulbs. The LED work light is powered by M18 REDLITHIUM batteries, running up to 4X longer on a single charge. The work light features a 135° rotating head to easily direct the light beam at the desired work area and an integrated hook allows for hands-free use. The cordless work light features a sealed aluminum head to provide impact and weather resistance and comes with a limited lifetime LED warranty, the LEDs never need to be replaced.

I started with a incandescent bulb version (which came with the full tool M18 bundle) and was impressed with it even though it was low-tech, and of a cheaper build quality than this LED work light. I broke the bulb, so now I want the expensive LED upgrade.. But, the LED unit is almost perfect, and works great. I saw a comment about it being flimsy. Where else are you going to find something better? They don't make them out of precious metals. Nothing is made to be solid these days, anyway.. The LED housing is made of metal on this one, though. Long battery life, and very bright. I highly recommend this.

I always thought it was just one of those throwaway lights, something the manufacturer includes to market the kit as a 5-tool instead of a 4-tool kit. With that said, after using it on a recent trip to the cabin, and doing a couple of small jobs when the power went out, I will say that I have a newfound appreciation for this little light. It's powerful enough to keep as a backup light, and will probably run forever off of a 5.0 battery. The light comes from an LED chip, so it'll last much longer than my old Ryobi light which uses an incandescent bulb. Very happy with it, though if I could add one feature, it would be an ability to adjust the light's brightness.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not very bright Had mine about 4 years, and still works as new. Although I'm not hard on it. For a 18v light 100 lumens is sadly under powered. Also wold have like to see a low, med, high settings. Fairly rugged built, light is a good working colour temperature, and it stands up well on it's own. The swivel up and down motion of the head is very handy. Would not recommend as the low light output is a deal breaker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bright enough Bought this in early 2016 and although handy IMO it could be brighter for 18V, and have a low, med, hi setting. Not very expensive so I don't feel like it was wasted money. Plastic is hard and will take a bang. Although with the weight of the 5.0 battery on there I fear a fall would break the battery off and damage the connections. Would not recommend unless on sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good light but has one design flaw Been using these lights for several years now and they are good lights - bright, LED bulb makes the battery last a long time, and solidly built. My only complaint is that the swivel only goes down to a straight horizontal. Often you need to set it up on a table and illuminate something on the floor - can't be done with this light. Pretty dumb flaw. All they would have to do is make it so it swivels down a couple of notches more. I even emailed the company and suggested it a year ago, but nothing has changed. The integral hanger hook also doesn't solve this problem. Other than that, it's a useful tool and I use it all the time. I have several of them - one for each vehicle, one in the shop, one in the toolbox, and one under the bed for a power outage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bezel breaks to easy. We have 4 of these flashlights but the bezels break easy and no way to buy replacements so everyone is now taped up to hold the lens on, we otherwise do like the light but there should be replacement parts for the bezel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thought it was a great light I’ve purchased 3 M18 work lights about 6 years ago but not all at once. I keep one in my truck, one in the garage and one in house. Last year one of my work lights stopped working, I thought oh well. Then two weeks ago my second work light stopped working. Something is not right. I’m not happy. These work lights should last a lot longer then that for what there worth. I’m better off with regular battery operated led flashlights. My M18 impacts take a lot of abuse and there still working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent general purpose light I have had this light for about 8 years. It's a very dependable work light. The light beam is perfect to illuminate a large area. It's perfect for outside or indoor use. I keep it in my vehicle in case of emergency, plus it gets lots of use at my Camp. I'd definitely buy another one.
