Rated 5 out of 5 by from The future of tree work! We lost two 60 foot/18" diameter pines at the cottage this fall. I grew up working for an arborist and have used all types and sizes of gas chainsaws. I started with my gas chainsaw but quickly switched to the Milwaukee. For a few hours work this saw was lighter, quieter, easier to handle and cut just as well if not better. Didn't even have to replace batteries. I used a sawzall for some of the smaller branches which I'd never really done before and it worked great. Keep the guide area clean and your cuts straight and this saw will go all day. Definitely the future of tree work for me.(note that while you can see a gas chainsaw in one picture, it got used for less than 5 minutes!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A great tool for tarnishing Milwaukee's reputation Had this less than 2 years, took down maybe 15-20 small trees in that time. I went to use it yesterday and it literally would not operate at all. Tried different batteries, nothing. I opened it up and could not see anything obviously wrong. I assume it’s an electrical problem. I researched the issue online and found a ton of people that bought this chainsaw only to have the same problem, could not find any solutions or fixes so it’s basically a paperweight now. It’s a shame, I only buy Milwaukee and I’ve always been impressed, never had any issues with any of their products until now. I can not recommend this product.

Works great, but leaks oil everywhere when off, called customer support to learn I have to empty the oil tank before putting saw away every time, otherwise it empties itself on the floor and/or inside de casing if on uneven surface. Not having been made for emptying the chain oil tank through where it is filled, you are sure to make a mess each and every time! Should be mentionned before sale.

I thought this was going to be a good product seems poorly made. I was trying to keep to the same platform, I don't know now. Maybe I should have stuck with gas, especially at this price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not bad, nothing special I tried this saw out a few times. As a line maintainer I cut the odd tree and a lot of hydro poles. The saw is quiet and will cut small poles however struggles through larger hard pressure treated poles. The chain is very small and doesn't clear as much wood as our typical gas saws. We typically use stihl 261 and although the stihl is a few hundred more it out preforms by far. I also block firewood at home and I would never be able to cut 5-6 cords of hardwood with this chainsaw. It just doesn't have the power. For limbing it works ok although the chain comes off a lot which gets very annoying. I was hoping for more out of this saw and maybe for the homeowner looking to clear the odd branch or small tree it would be ok, but other then that you just can't compare to a good gas powered saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Power and Very Quiet Purchased about a month ago and have gone through three battery charges worth of work. I am impressed with the power, ease of handling and the longevity of the battery. Two negatives are one :- chips and sawdust are not cleared as well as you would expect and two :- chain oil feed is not adjustable and feeds more than required. These two result in having to remove the side plate and clean the oily chips and sawdust more frequently then I would expect.

L'utilisation de ma première charge complete n'a durer 1h00 alors que la deuxième charge a fait 1h30 deplus que je coupait du bouleau beaucoup plus groa que l'épinette de ma premiere coupe . Les batteries 5 amp regulier pour impact sont beaucoup utile pour enlever les braiche ou faire une trail car la scie devien beaucoup moin lourde ! Il va arrivé 2 fois de déchainer mais ses moi qui ne s'etait pas bien pris !!! Exelent produit mais vous devex posseder 2 batterie 12 amp .

The cutting power and overall performance have been great but the oil it has leaked since day one is the reason for 1 star rating. After a lot online research I've discovered this is a very common problem with this saw. This needs to be fixed. Milwaukee, if you can solve my issue I'd happily change my review.
