Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overheating problem I own many Milwaukee tools for 5 years now. I use them every day and they get the job done. Last year Ibought the second generation but I will review that one there* (not happy with it) and to replace it bought this one (2408-20) the problem with this one thatI never had before overheating. If you do residential and need studs to drill where you can’t use the hole hawg 2707 this one it won’t compete against first gen fuel. And another thing I want to point out is that is it just me or someone else has the same issue drilling 4” potlights in the drywall? After few seconds will stop working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stops working after a week I bought a brand new kit (2997-22) from my local retailer. The impact is great. The drill...another story. This will be my 3rd replacement and I’m really hoping it was a bad batch because I love the Milwaukee line overall. I drill 1” holes max, and within a short 1-2 weeks...both drills have stopped working mid-way through a hole. The trigger activates the light but will not engage the motor. It wasn’t overheated or abused and I haven’t received any indication as to what went wrong. If this next drill has the same issue, I’ll unfortunately be forced to switch tool manufacturers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from second generation tools Happy to hear that I am not alone; Second generation of fuel does not do the job anymore like the first one. Overheat, stop working when it gets hot, no torque, less stronger. SO NOT RECOMMENDED

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed! I am a plumber and use my cordless drill everyday. I have had this drill for about 3 months now and today was the third time I have brought it in for warranty. I received it this morning after being “repaired”, I drilled 8 2 5/8” holes and went through 2 5 ah batteries and it died. I have been using Milwaukee tools for years and have always been very happy with the performance they deliver. That being said, I am extremely disappointed with this drill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I’m disappointed with Milwaukee warranty I'm not happy with this Milwaukee warranty result. I also have 2902-20 & 2606-22, both don't have any problems since day one for many years. This hummer drill 2804-20 is less than a year old and the bit was stuck with the chuck. Of cause you want to keep moving when you in the job site. That's why I try to remove the bit with a plier and whole chuck just came apart when I try couple of times. It should not be happened at the beginning. I'm not happy from Milwaukee's warranty department reject my claim on one of the top line products and have to pay for the repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I made the switch I switched over from another platform to Milwaukee and this was one of the first I used. I noticed the power difference immediately. It does everything I ask it too and more. - Concrete NO PROBLEM - Hard Woods NO PROBLEM - Steel NO Problem! Anything I have thrown at it has not been an issue. There is so much power. I also love the Chuck and the handle. This drill is very ergonomic and well balanced. The drill over all is a beast and seems like if dropped it could take a beating. Its tools like this that make me feel much better about switching to Milwaukee.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The chuck is terrible on my example I've emailed milwaukee a couple times about this but they don't respond. The chuck on my drill is so bad that the runout causes my whole workbench to shake when im drilling. The chuck on this drill looks great, but the performance is ugly. If this happens to you, return it to HD ASAP. They have excellent customer service (unlike millwaukee). Or maybe ive made the mistake of contacting their parts and service instead of their customer service. All other millwaukee tools i have are pretty good, this one is a fail on QC.

Will this work with a hammer drill bit to remove ceramic tiles?

Asked by: Jason
Hi Jason, you would need a rotary hammer drill for tile removal. Rotary hammers have a chiseling or hammer only mode (with no rotation) that you can use for chiseling.
