Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing eats up batteries I am heavily invested in the milwaukee m18 system having many batteries and m18 fuel tools. I purchased this grinder to replace my 6086 and because I had been so happy with my 2780. Well at first I was happy with it it really preforms very well (not as powerful as my 6086) but for the convinence of loosing the extension cables I could live with that. But I found that under any form of continuous grinding I would overheat and disable even my brand new HD12.0 batteries. I went through 4 of them in under 15 minutes! All overheated! In the end this tool is useless to me. Not sure what good this review will do seeing how Milwaukee removed less than stellar my review on the 2486-20

Does anyone know how can I find the (Type 1 backing flange) to use Type 1 wheels with this grinder?

I guess this backing flange doesn't come with this grinder for some reasons, since I didn't see it with mine.
Asked by: Alyus
Not sure what you are seeing. The grinder has backing flanges that hold in the cutoff disks that I have.. The flanges come off and the grinding wheels screw on. The outer flange have a flip lock. I have seen to different locks for the flanges and one needs a wrench to lock and one is locked with a flipped lever

What grinder blade do you recommend

What grinder blade do you recommend
Asked by: Bill
Use any angle grinder wheel with RPM rating of 6600 RPM or more that is designed for use on a 5/8-inch-11 threads per inch arbor. I prefer to use 7-inch grinding wheels with this tool. As an aside, always wear a face shield when grinding with this tool,
