Rated 3 out of 5 by from These are reliable and strong drills, BUT... I have many Milwaukee tools in 12 and 18 volt sizes. They have always been reliable. However, it is odd that it was the keyless chuck that failed on my 28 volt Milwaukee drill and has failed on my M18 drill. For some reason these chucks bind once they are tightened around a drill bit. The chuck will release just a bit and then lock up. It takes a large slip groove plier to get the chuck free and the drill bit out. I still recommend the drill, but a person may want to consider the price of a better keyless chuck along with your purchase. Then I suppose one would have to compare prices with the competition, as maybe other brands have good quality chucks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cold affects use Anyone else having trouble running this when it is cold outside? Mine doesn't like to run after it has been in my truck overnight. Have to bring it in to warm up. My old one never seemed to be bothered by the cold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as powerful compare to the older style We bought 2 replacement drills 2803-20 to replace the 2601-20. Very disappointed in the 2803-20 1/2 inch drill these are not half as powerful than the older style 2601-20. We use them everyday in our repair shop and now we have to reach back to the corded drills to have the right power to do our work. Drilling in steel, hone cylinders, reaming and use in our manufacturing side of the business is not as convenience anymore as it was before with the 4 2601-20 drills we had. Unfortunately the 2601-20 drills where worn out and beyond repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Milwaukee M18 Fuel Cordless drill 2803-22 Bought this drill for powering a woods drill powered ice fishing auger. Powerful drill. Zipped through 24” of ice in less than 10 seconds. Great torque. Used for drilling 4.5” diameter holes with hole saw. Zipped right through plywood floor (2” thickness) while my old drill stopped every few seconds and took a minute to drill through. Battery charge lasts forever.

The only thing that prevented it from getting a 5-star review was the fact that it doesn’t have a torque-limiting clutch for driving screws...the torque limiting collar controls an electronic torque limit, which still exerts a lot of torque, even on the lowest possible setting.

After using this for a day I realized how much time I would have saved over the past three years if I’d had the M18 fuel for the whole time. Very powerful, batteries are high quality and tones of torque. Highly recommend.
