Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay, but the older version is better Jacket was okay but older versions of the jacket had more features that made the jacket great. This jacket had poor battery placement and digs into your side when sitting in your car. It has less interior pockets and they are smaller. But it does heat up very quickly. I thought this version would be an improvement from the last version, but we were disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as happy 2nd time around I got one of the coats a few years ago and it was excellent. It eventually failed (I thing the wiring inside fell apart). The coat was still in very good order despite several years of use so I decided I wanted another one with working electrical. The new coat has a number of issues. 1) After receiving it from mail order if you try it on apparently you can't return it. So I tried it on to see if it would fit (expecting it to fit since it's the same size as the original). It's a little small. I don't find it very thrilling that if it doesn't fit it's sort of too bad. I'd probably get the size bigger. 2) The battery pouch on my old one fits a much larger battery with this one I'm not having as much luck. I need to use the small battery that they usually come with. Even the small one when in the pouch seems to be in the way all the time. My old jacket didn't have this problem even with the big battery. 3) Less pockets, smaller pockets. The breast pocket can't even fit my cell phone. Not sure what the point is. In my old coat I could unzip the breast pocket on the outside put in my phone or whatever. Super convenient. Not this coat. The pocket is way too small. The old coat also had a few webs (like pockets) inside where I could put stuff like a pair of gloves. That's missing in the new version. I'm not sure if this is upgrade for the coat I had or is just a different model. I tried to find one like the one I had (which had a softer shell than this one) but couldn't. 4) I've worked around the issue of the battery pouch being in the wrong place and the battery getting in the way all the time. I ordered a third party extension for the battery so I could route the extension to the breast pocket. Then put the battery there. Then I can sit down without the battery digging in. The pocket is big enough for the small battery but not a phone. Go figure. An advantage of this is when the battery runs out (which is frequent) I can swap the battery without taking the coat off. On the plus side it does heat up quick like they say and it might be more efficient with the battery use too. Also the newer battery holder is usb chargeable. That is an excellent feature and makes a big difference. Instead of carrying a monster battery I can carry two small ones and charge them as you would your cell phone. It's an overnight thing but if you always charge when you can it increases the comfort. But it's just not giving me the satisfaction of the older coat. If I could do it again, I think it'd be time to try another brand. Or even another supplier where I can try the coat on and then if it doesn't fit I'd not be stuck with it. I am managing with it... I wouldn't be surprised if I got another that fits better and has a useful pocket for my cell phone and stuff....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Milwaukee M18 heated tough skin jacket The product is durable, and rugged yet comfortable. The warming feature speaks for itself. An excellent garment great for work, travel or hiking. The USB port even allows you to charge your phone if needed. Awesome.
