Home Depot sent me a pair of dead battery packs, one arrived looking like it had been opened and returned. It was dead out of the box. Took it to the store and was able to return it and buy a new one. The second battery was in different packaging, turns out it was older packaging and the battery charged almost to 100% then errored out. So, again, local store returned and sold me a replacement. Once I had working batteries, they are fantastic. Two of these in the power station gives me more power than I need for most light draw tool work, but oddly I use the power station to run my rapid charger for the M18 12AMP batteries to use on the table saw and miter saw. Strange to use a battery to charge another battery, but I'm happy as can be. These batteries are beefy, durable, and heavy. They aren't the quick one handed battery swap that the M18 or M12s are (unless you have really large hands) so a battery swap is a bit more effort but they do latch in to the tools very easily, and come out just as easily. No little tabs like the M12 or sticky red latch buttons like the M18.

Unfortunately I bought 2 of them but returned them since the Milwaukee Power station has not came out yet and still no release date on it either so I didn’t want to have the battery’s sit around since I bought the battery’s specifically for the Milwaukee power supply unit generator

I'm interested to know what the voltage and amp-hours are for the packs, but for some REALLY strange reason, Milwaukee has decided the consumer doesn't need to know this... if anyone has more info on these specs, I'd appreciate it. TIA!

According to the Operator's Manual (& a bit of basic electrical math) The 203 Pack has 216 Watt Hours and is 72 Volts. 216wh/72V = 3 Amp hour. The 406 Pack has 432 Watt Hours and is 72 Volts. 216wh/72V = 6 Amp hour.

What’s the KWh or Ah

Would like Milwaukee Electric to answer, whats the electric capacity? Especially important when considering the Fuel Carry-On. Note - a poster above said Tesla does 1 KWh for $100- that is not true neither at the cell level (the little cylinders) and especially not pack level (which also does not include a hardened case with shock resistance and solid state cooling ). It is much higher! If this is truly 72v - then likely it is built as 20 18650 cells in series, which means the 20 in 203 is 20 cells, and 406 implies 40 cells. With 20 good brand cells you may get around 0.3 kWh and with 40 5 to 6 KWh. Thus at an uninformed glance, 406=“40 cells with .6 KWh” of course this is all DC and assuming no efficiency losses. For the Fuel Carry On, there will be some heat losses, and DC-AC conversion inefficiencies. One thing that baffles me is that the Carry-on does not have built in M18 or M12 charging. They show bolt-on chargers, but the DC-AC-DC conversion is inane and unecessary waste of energy, space and equipment. An Mx—> M18 charger could be a trivial adapter, akin to the m18->usb adapter.

From my research, with very little info published from Milwaukee, it looks like your figures are right on the money. The XC406 battery has 40 cells and is priced at $600 for the battery. The CP203 has 20 cells and is priced at $350. The price I've seen for the Milwaukee MXF002-1XC MX FUEL CARRY-ON™ 3600W/1800W Power Supply (which comes with one XC406 battery) is $2000. Most of what I read says they start shipping around May15th 2020 time frame. If you buy the Power Supply/ Generator, no separate charger is nessessary for the MX. But yes as you said the M12 M18 batteries would need a separate DC-AC-DC charger set up to be charged from this generator. Which does seem odd.
