Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great framing gun I love it This framing gun is so good I love it but one thing I always have problems with is the seals at the trigger is so bad it always leak on me and I always have to send it in. But I’m happy that Milwaukee takes care of me and fix the gun all the time for me. That’s why I only buy Milwaukee tools! But I wish they can rebuild that trigger seal better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around framing nailer!! I used this framing nailer for about 3 years before Milwaukee came out with the M18 version and I upgraded. The nailer is very well balanced and is very consistent in sinking in 3” nails into wood. For the 3 years I used this nailer it did not jam on me ever and at that time I was doing a lot of framing throughout the year. Gets the job done!!

Can the nail rack be changed to shoot eight penny nails and is a rack for eight penny nails available?

Asked by: Fill8penny
There is no need to change the magazine. This gun will shoot 2 - 3.5 inch long by .113 - .148 diameter nails as is, without modification.

will this gun shoot 3 1/2 x.162 shanked round head nails

Asked by: Andrew
No. Only up to .148, 3.5 x .162 nails are expensive and usually split the wood. Not many people use them and most framing nailers wont shoot them. You would be better off using 3 inch or 3.25 x .131 and just using more of them.

What type of air hose coupling is needed for this? My other nailers and stapler all use 1/4" hose with industrial-type couplings (also called I/M or Milton M-style, I believe). The one in the picture looks slightly different. Thank you.
Asked by: DavidMac
It is a 1/4 inch I/M body on the connector with 3\8 threads, so it will fit most 1/4 inch couplers. If a person wants to put a swivel connector on, an adapter can be used to adapt it down to use a regular 1/4 inch fitting without worry because the air flow can only be as much as the narrowest part of the connector body which is already 1/4 inch.

How large of an air compressor do I need?

How large of an air compressor do I need?
Asked by: Hickory
At a minimum I would use a 6 gallon, 150 PSI, with at least 2.5 CFM. A compressor with those specs will run this nailer adequately if you are using this nailer a moderate pace. You will need more compressor if you are working fast or using bump fire for extended periods.
