Rated 1 out of 5 by from LIght duty only You can probably use these adapters up to about 125 ft-lbs of torque. Go above that and they'll snap right off at the head. If all you're hoping to do is spin nuts after loosening them with a breaker, they'll do that job. Milwaukee's marketing implies that these adapters will do more than that, and for that they get a low rating.

Own other Milwaukee tool for more than 30 years and never has this terrible experience before. I think Milwaukee can do better than this or just don't sell it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible First time using the 3/8” and it broke. Using the Dewalt DCF 887 Impact Driver. Returned it and replaced with the same, thinking I must have gotten a defective one and again it broke after the third bolt. I do NOT recomend it.

Very unexpected, today when removing a drain plug that was overtightened by autoshop I used my impact driver as I could not hand crank it out. Two trigger pulls into this and snap, ar first I thought wow that was easy, to my disappointment the adapter twisted like nothing right where the red mark is. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I ready reviews online and some stated impact rated (diferent brands) but still broke. So far with Milwaukee I have removed 4 tires and a transmission motor mount and no break. So far so good but at this price I bought 2 sets to have a back up. Didn't want to be in the middle of a project and it breaks. I had 1 tire that was tightened so hard the electric impact wrench wouldn't loosen nut on wheel. The impact just tried and tried and adapter did not break was impressed. I would buy it again

Not sure but I use mine with 20v Dewalt impact driver to remove all kinds of wheel bolts but sometimes they need to be loosen manually, but quad wheels lawnmower wheels all on with this setup

Do these lock directly into the collet or do they require an additional adapter to attach into?

They lock directly into a 1/4" hex impact driver collet. Very handy, well made adapters. I keep them right with my socket sets for use where I don't have an air compressor handy or just don't want to mess with an air hose.

Where is it made?

I don't have the package anymore and it's not marked on the tools. I will say I've picked many of these adapters along the way and these are the strongest, best made ones yet. I finally threw all the junk ones away and only use these now. I've found Milwaukee attachments such as these to be of better quality than those from the yellow brand name I use for my battery powered tools.
