The hose there looked like a standard issue in metal, but when I opened the sealed package, it was a simple plastic hose painted like a metal. I liked the shower head, and decided to keep the product but improvise. I had urgently to purchase a spare part from Moen 69 inch Handheld shower hose in chrome. Bottom line, the original Moen product cost me twice as much. Moen should be more transparent about quality of its products, but I am glad Moen had this spare part available. Also, thanks to Home Depot that helped me to resolve this problem.
