Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I was having trouble finding a double shower curtain rod in chrome that was reasonably priced. This one certainly fits the bill. The installation is indeed a bit tricky and definitely more difficult than it should be, but I was able to accomplish it without too much trouble thanks to the previous reviews and tips. Use the template to locate the bracket positions and make sure it will provide the extra room inside the shower without intruding into the room space. Have someone help by holding it in position as you screw in the first bracket. It looks good and is fairly sturdy. We will see how it holds up to regular use. Definitely a good shower rod for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what we needed We purchased this item a month ago and installed it shortly after and had no real difficulties. We did need to measure a few times since this isn't a typical tension shower rod but it didn't take long at all. The covers that go over the portion you screw into the wall aren't completely flush but it's hardly noticeable. We use one rod for the double shower curtain and the outer one to hang our towels on. Overall good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I bought one for a bathroom, I loved it so much and I bought a second one for another bathroom. The double curve rods looks very good and create so much room inside the tub. It's a little pricy but well worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned If you don't have plumbed walls, you've got a problem. Old house, old plaster and not completely flat and straight.. It wouldn't tighten enough to be curved out. The rubber ring would not fit into one of the rods properly. After three hours of trying to install we gave up and returned it. We've got six big holes in the walls now. No matter what kind of anchor one uses, it probably won't work on plaster, either. If that's in the instructions, we didn't see it. We would have saved ourselves the trouble and the damage. Maybe I'm cheap, the in my opinion the quality did not warrant the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful touch to my bathtub Had the guys who installed my new surround put it in for me. Took them about 10 minutes and it looks awesome. Love the separation of curtains so when its time to replace the liner you don't have to fret with the curtain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2nd time around The first order was lost in shipping. Reordered ( with a 10% courtesy discount) and product arrived as promised and on time. Installation is not a lot of fun however one person can accomplish it (beats cursing at the wife). First off, scan and print the template. Cut out the templates (attach a piece of double sided tape to the back of the template) and try and find a stud in the general location of where you want to mount the rod (a stud finder is a great help). The provided Molly bolts work fine for drywall, however a stud is a much more secure attachment point (IMHO). Although the instructions don't mention it, the cover plates have a front and a back, put them on wrong and you are going to do the whole installation again. The last major hassle is getting the plastic sleeves on the rods aligned (this probably took 15 minutes). Overall it is a very nice Rod. The installation is no fun, however there are a lot of things in life that aren't a lot of fun.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT stainless rails! I bought this specifically because I love stainless. I love never worrying about it rusting, or the finish coming off, or about it bending (vs aluminum), etc. It's the best alloy invented by man, okay? So, you can see why I was disappointed when a magnet stuck right to the rails. This isn't stainless - to say it is "stainless construction" is false advertising. The end caps might be some alloy of stainless, they are just slightly magnetic. But the rails aren't stainless, they are chrome plated steel. Which isn't all that bad, but isn't what's implied. However, it does look nice and match my chrome faucet, so I'm averaging my sense of being lied to and my relative satisfaction with the product. Would have been 4 or 5 stars without the misleading mention of stainless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks beautiful. The double rod really kicks up the bathroom. Drilling through the ceramic tile... Looks beautiful. The double rod really kicks up the bathroom. Drilling through the ceramic tile was a bit of a drag, about two hours total drilling time for the six holes spread out over five hours, and my brand new tile drill bit is trash afterwards - had to pre-drill the last three holes with a smaller bit first to get them done. It was all worth the effort.

Is there a way to make an opening in this rod in order to slide on a curtain that has a rod pocket rather than eyes for hooks or rings?
Asked by: Melissa
Yes, ours is already hanging in the bathroom, but it seems like it came apart on one of the ends or in the center so you could put the curtain directly on the rod. Good Luck!

does this require a drill for installation?

Asked by: taylor
Yes if you are installing this into drywall so that you can put the plastic pieces in the wall first before the screws. You wouldn't need one if you are lucky enough to have a stud right where this needed to be installed.

Will this rust?

Although this states its stainless steel, will it rust?
Asked by: Colleen
Eventually, some day, yes. The main rods aren't stainless steel, but they are chrome plated steel. That's good, but the best. So if the chrome ever comes off (exposure to BLEACH or abrasion) THEN it'll rust where the coating is missing. Also maybe at the ends of the rods..... My guess is that it's good for years and years.
