Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picture totally misprepresents product I chose the Kingsley because it had such a nice look to it. The product actually installed does not look like the picture. The handle sticks out at least 3/4 of an inch and looks very sloppy. I cannot believe that this is the way you made this product. It is awful. This was not a do-it-yourself project either. We had a large very reputable plumbing business install the shower head and handle as part of a complete bathroom remodel. Everything else turned out beautifully and I have a shower handle that sticks out and looks horrible. It is extremely disappointing to choose a product and not have it look the way you represent it on your website. Other buyers need to beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wrong MOEN installation instructions TO ALL CUSTOMERS: MOEN's installation instructions are wrong with regard to the setback for their valve assembly. The MOEN installation instructions call for the white plastic plaster ring to be "flush with the finished wall surface" By installing the valve this way there will be a 3/4" gap between the handle and escutcheon plate. BE AWARE! of this error and install the valve assembly such that this plaster ring is set back at least 3/8" from the finished wall surface. See attached MOEN instruction sheet, with notations and corrections.

The product description states "MOEN Kingsley Single Handle Shower Faucet with Moentrol Pressure Balancing Valve" but the product DOES NOT INCLUDE the pressure balancing valve. If you look in the detailed product description, the fourth bullet point states that the "Valve must be purchased separately." The product headline should read "MOEN Kingsley Single Handle Shower Faucet trim package without valve" or similar verbiage. Otherwise it has been a good product. Two minor complaints are that it is not obvious how to turn on the water (pull out on the handle), and that the handle turns a little too easily. You can brush lightly against the handle and change the temperature without realizing it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just over a trickle. While this is a simple shower, the flow of water is terrible. I don't need a waterfall, but I do want enough pressure to relieve tension in the shoulders and back. I took it off, and looked at it to see if I could take the restrictor out, but didn't see how it could be done. The only thing lacking in this otherwise nice oil rubbed bronze shower head is the pressure. One would think 2.5gpm would be sufficient, but with only one spray option, it is not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, functions great, doesn't synch with rough in specs Very simple unit to install and looks great, the only drawback is that if directions were followed correclty on the Moentrol valve install, the trim handle with this kit will sit slightly proud of the collar, due to the valve stem extending too far past the finished shower wall. As other reviewers said, the Moentrol valve should be set about 3/8 farther back then what the install sheet specifies, which will make the handle sit closer to the collar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional Product - Well Made I have been installing this valve for years, and even though the other two reviewers say they used a professional plumber to install, they must not have done it correctly. As I never have a problem and the end product looks great. So owner beware make sure your plumber sets the rough-in valve correctly so when you mount the trim it seats properly. Again I have installed this product and many other Moen products and never have a problem. Just because they say they are are a professional plumber and drive a big fancy truck does not mean that they are qualified, or that they will read the instructions before installing. You as the customer could read the instructions and verify that the valve is indeed installed correctly, it is not rocket science.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sorry, instructions are poor! I only gave 3 stars because of the poor quality of the installation instructions. Defend what you will, but the bottom line is that if the instructions for installing this valve with Kingsley trim are followed to the letter, it will result in the rear of the valve handle being 1/2" away from the escutcheon when the valve is in the OFF position. This is unacceptable and looks bad. If the plaster ground were made 3/8" thicker, and the valve installed with the pg flush with finished wall per instructions, only then would the handle look 'right' ... with appx 1/8" clearance behind it in the OFF position. OH... one more thing... panel #4 in the installation comic says to make the hole FOUR and a half inches... GUESS WHAT? The Moentrol plaster ground is FIVE and a half inches diameter! The instructed hole size is TOO SMALL! Moen, you REALLY need to improve your installation 'comic books' Bottom line, install the valve such that the face of the plaster ground is 3/8" BACK from flush with finish wall, and all will be well in Moenville...

The previous reviewer complained about the handle sticking out too far. This is not fault of the shower valve. It is because his plumber did not measure correctly when he installed it. The valve should have been mounted deeper in the wall. If you know what you're doing, it looks great.

i was unable to determine the difference between the Moen Kingsley T3112 and the T2112 ...can you help?

Hello Tom. Thank you so much for your interest in Moen products. The shower trim models that start with the letter &quot;T&quot; only include the trim and does not include the valve. Therefore, to complete the T3112, a Moentrol valve 3550 or 3570 and a drain would need to be purchased. The T3112 shower only trim includes the showerhead ,arm and flange plus the handle and escutcheon. The T2112 looks similar. However, it needs a PosiTemp valve 2510 or 2520 and a drain. The T2112 is also a shower only trim that includes the showerhead, arm and flange plus the handle and escutcheon. The difference between these two shower only trims is the type of valve they use. The tub and shower trims are T3113 and T2113 respectively. Remember the additional components you purchase may be determined by your application.
