Didn't install it my H forgot to give it to the plumbers when they redid our entire bathroom and they used cheap stuff just for that part. All the other fixtures I bought were high end and are perfect! I will not return it because eventually I will have it installed.

Is it possible to replace the lift and lock mechanism on this one by the push button (M8659 -- https://www.homedepot.ca/product/moen-pop-up-tub-drain-stopper-5-16-inch-brushed-nickel/100083) ?

I can’t say for sure, but I doubt that they’re compatible. You could buy it see if it fits, HD should have no problem returning it if it doesn’t work for you.

What is the difference between these covers and the Moen Tub/Shower Drain Covers Model # T90331BN? There is a large price difference and the covers look the same in photos but nothing in the descriptions reveal any difference in quality.

The Moen Tub/Shower Drain Covers in Brushed Nickel, T90331BN, is a push-n-lock drain type that fits 1-1/8: threaded drain shoe connections. Will this fit a tub drain with a 1-5/8" diameter flange?

It will fit both drain sizes actually. It has a copper color insert you can unscrew from the center to make it either size. Confusing but if you unscrew the outer or inner piece that I copper colored threading it will fit either one depending if you take it off or leave it on. Hope this helps
